Shimmering Tiara - Unique Gold Find Helmet (like Goldskin from D2)
For next Content Patch 0.3.0, GGG should consider adding a new low-level unique helmet with a gold find affix like Goldskin from D2. It would be fun to have an option to grind for gold and use it for gambling in SSF. It would also help with respec gold cost during a new campaign. Obviously, this helm is not an endgame item.
The helmet will have a unique effect of increasing gold pickup radius based on your light radius. " The hard cold thruth is, they need to revamp, ALL, and I mean it, ALL the current unique items in the pool to make them vastly more useful/better and remove pretty much most of their drawback. I genuinely don't understand this obsession with the devs for making the unique items so bad, it's saddening to a point I have almost lost all the faith I still had. Yes, this might sound hyperbolic but truly I'm not even kidding. Generally speaking devs have completely lost touch with what made the game good at some point. I'm still playing in the hope that the game will eventually be saved because the graphics are good and I like the genre. But when it comes to what should be the easiest part for them to do, somehow, they won't do it. TLDR: less bloat, more quality unique items. And some of the weaker ones, that would help you progressing, should drop more frequently early. What is the point of getting Enfolding Dawn or Carrion Call in end game? You don't see those drops when you need to but are getting them when you no longer need them. If you play SSF, you have to gamble for a ridiculous small chance of getting them, why? Why, seriously? In D2, you only had armor, there was no energy shield nor evasion based armor. Why do I bring this up? I bring this up because the amount of drops that won't work for your build is much higher in POE 2 than D2. But somehow, knowing this, they are bloating the game with absolute trash uniques. As gold is a good conductor it will have a penalty to lightning resist, but to balance it out, it will have a unique effect of increasing gold pickup radius based on your light radius.

" Why must there always be a drawback? Dont you think the low armor etc, missing other resistance from rare chest or energy shield are not enough of drawback itself? In D2 the goldskin gives +35 to all resistance.... Always putting drawbacks is really really bad. |

I want to expose the drawback culture, the devs are trying to make you think it's ok.
Compare these, lets say you are level 97, and you want to grind gold for Alva Gambling. You can either use your main armor or your proposed armor. Can you explain to me, why is it necessary to add a penalty to lightning resistance, when you are already penalized extremely violently by losing all the other good things a top tier armor would provide? Can we stop always having drawbacks on top of something that contains insane huge drawbacks naturally? ![]() You can say one requires level 16, thats ok, but why would we had hard nerfs on something already very very weak?
