Did everyone just stop posting items on trade?
" Most people are not playing standard and the inflation in standard is whack. I only moved over because of that. Also, most of my friends I am playing with were in the league unfortunately almost all quit after 2-3 weeks due to horrible loot and bad balance changes. |

" Yes. Why would I waste my time selling to an RMT bot that take 6 minutes to put one exalt in the trade window. 最後に DankWeebTrash#7386 が 2025/05/22 17:20:44 に編集

" Generally speaking I agree with you, I'm a standard player as well. I prefer playing Hardcore but now SSF softcore since there are too many BS way to die in this game. I play SSF because trade leagues gives me no more excitement and because amazing loot don't drop anymore like it used to in 0.1, so SSF is a different experience for me to try to hard cope with the current situation. I'm not the biggest fan of new leagues but what I meant is the only way you'll get me to play a new one, is if the new content is gated behind it and because that's where there is most activity and where players are at. If the new chase items are exciting I would gladly play in a new trade league starting over to race with my friend, ideally in hardcore if the game is stable and balanced. The major drawback imo in a new league is no longer having access to legacy gear that were desirable. They say in 0.2.1 that they will be working on uniques to make the chase item better and they will introduce new chase items as well. Man I do hope it's gonna be different from what we've seen so far because everything always come with a drawback and/or is legit very bad alone without the drawback... A new league offers an economy reset, exclusive content but you lose access to legacy gear. In a sense, you are playing in an environment where the gear is sanitized to the new rotation and everyone is equal and can race through the leaderboard if that's a thing you like. Also, for new players, joining new leagues might feel more "fair" to them since they are equal to everyone. Some people have thousands of divines and even some mirror in standard, a new player might prefer joining a new league for that reason. Personally it dosen't bother me. When I started playing POE 1, I joined the standard league even though it been there for a while because I prefered having access to powerful items. To give you an idea, I play vintage in magic the gathering. Those cards are completely broken and you can win the game on turn 1. They also are very expensive to acquire, thus creating a barrier entry for new players. So naturally speaking, people will be more attracted by the newer format where everyone is equal and where it feels more fair. 最後に Oinkaments#6390 が 2025/05/22 17:37:03 に編集

" It's still early access but SSF is a non-starter for me until I can actually gear up my player with drops or actually craft. The higher end materials are either locked behind a league mechanic I dislike (ritual) or they simply do not exist. I think I've found 3 anul orbs this entire season. It's just not fun to grind in this game because the rewards are so few. They'll fix it but right now they have work to do. 最後に dautry#3521 が 2025/05/23 0:18:56 に編集

I think the self-inflicted wound here was making it so that the crafting inventory ("currency") is generally rare until end game. The effect is that if something like an exalt drops during the campaign, you're better off just buying a piece you want off the trade site from someone higher level than risk gambling it on crafting something.
Then when you do get to the end game, at least for a common pleb like me, I'm at the position where if I've got a few essences and exalts together it's STILL better me trying to find something on the trade site. Why gamble all my currency when I can see up front what I want and aim to buy it instead. Crafting and Currency itself are way out of whack. What average player uses a divine for crafting for example!? When trading "breaks" after a month of a new league, the system essentially breaks too. Hence the league resets. I think some more thought needs to go in to crafting and the crafting economy - and I reckon that'll fix a lot of things. |

Vast majority of PoE2 players are bots, we even have leaked dev tools that confirmed it basically.

" Then play standard. We don't want standard, we want a fresh league every 3 months like the old days. IT is what makes the game fun, I get the best gear every single league, if I start with that gear there's no point even logging in. |

New leagues in POE usually come with a TON of new content to do... Not in POE 2 sadly, so I see why you all are down on leagues, you haven't experienced one yet.
" THe average player is not supposed to use a divine for crafting. GGG likes a game where only the top players can even DO the content. As far as rewards, they have told us for almost a decade that the content IS the reward, getting something ON TOP of being able to do the content is just RNG bonus. GGG has a very twisted way of viewing things. And it's only gotten worse since gold. THey immediately used gold to destroy currency drops, currency converts to gold, items convert to gold. It was just another way to rip things from the player to make us work for less. |

The game is just dying.

" Because it's a hollow, empty experience, devoid of reason, and fun, and loaded with so much intentional RNG it makes me actually angry. |
