distilling maps = fog and same music forever?
So in end game it's mandatory that you distill your maps with paranoia/greed and etc and one thing i get tired of is the fog/music.
Please don't say it's not mandatory because it is, the amount of currency and resources you miss out by not doing it makes it mandatory. I think GGG should reconsider maybe an option to turn off the fog and leave some other music as well. Is anyone tired of the same thing? End game mapping cannot be just fog with same music every single time. 最後にスレッドがバンプされた時間 時刻 2025/05/24 22:05:14

Oooooh yea, it's getting really old.
Without delirium fog, you can really appreciate the game's awesome visuals and vibrant effects. It's a real shame that so much effort was put into creating this incredible graphics engine only to have it be dulled and ruined by constant delirium fog. I'd honestly say it's my #1 complaint about the game. If I could change any one thing, it would be the delirium effects. |

Yeah when I use a regular map I’m almost in shock how the game looks. When you deli your maps which is mandatory, you are playing essentially a black and white game with permanent fog and same music over and over.
I’m actually surprised GGG hasn’t addressed this. It’s my number 1 complaint as well, might hang it up this season because I’m just tired of it lol |

Yes, welcome to POE.
we have been putting delirium on POE 1 maps for like 5 years now... it's a forever thing. |

" They addressed this in POE 1, they didn't give a shit then, they don't give a shit now. THeir response was "don't like it? don't juice" |

" I'm not saying you're lying, but I just have a hard time believing that they would basically tell the community "don't like it? don't do it." I've heard Jonathan say in interviews that if the community isn't enjoying something, they'll do their best to change it because they want us to enjoy the game. The delirium fog seems like it's entirely one sided in terms of the community actively disliking it. Maybe back then it wasn't as prevalent as it is now, or maybe the fog wasn't quite as thick (I didn't play POE1). I feel like if he truly understood how widespread the distaste was for delirium fog, he would probably be willing to address it. I hope so, anyway. |

" I just finished posting this elsewhere, but i will leave it here just cause. GGG has publicly said across time, a few things that are astonishing, and just out of this world, frankly. Back in the day, when bloom was first introduced to the engine, there was a blow out across some maps, hideout, effects, etc. Im not sure if it affected everyone, however, it affected me, and many posting on the forums at the time for sure. The issue was resolved, obviously, but at that time, the public was asking for a toggle to turn on or off bloom. Chris Wilson himself stated he would not add this option, and other options being asked about for visual graphics control, as it would cause the streamers streams at the time 'to look bad'. This also insinuates, that even some of the streamers at the time must have raised issues with the graphical overload. And that game, aint got nothing on this one graphically. Lol. All these years later, we still don't have the ability to disable bloom, only lower it to 25%. So yea, GGG has some very fucking odd priorities, seemingly really heavily leaning towards marketing and moola moola moola. I haven't paid deep attention in years, and im unsure if any streamers have raised issues over POE2's graphics, but yea... In my opinion, GGG should give us settings for full control over toggling things like bloom, physics, and furthermore, allowing us to slide down the transparency of effects, or disable them entirely. It's something that can be done, but most likely will not be done. GGG - Why you no? 最後に JoannaDark#6252 が 2025/05/24 22:11:46 に編集
