POE 2 QOL Wishlist

Hi Team,

Enjoying POE2 very much, excellent prioduct very well supported - i appreciate and am grateful for the teams wonderful efforts.

I thought i would setup a thread of what could be easy to implement and useful QOL requests from the community.

Please add your requests below.

I play HC, my requests come from that context.

1. Floating text setting: Enable floating text in the options menu to see damage numbers, crits, blocks, dodges and ailments in battle.
2. Floating text log: A notepad Log which captures the floating text numbers. It stores only the last 30 miutes of play. This feature will allow HC players to see the log report gathered from the floating text leading upto and at a player death event.

My biggest wish is a combat log.
A combat log would be grouse!
Can I remap the Shift click inventory function pretty please? Same for Ctrl Click would be awesome.

I remapped it for the tumble action, so now i cant shift click anything in my inventory with out shutting the windows and dodge rolling the hell outta there.

I kinda need shift to be tumble tho....dexterity /sigh

Auction house or some kind of hideout vendor booth for offline trading. And a combat log.

I'd love it if:

1. The orb buttons on strongboxes and essences were a little bigger (hard to click them when you're blasting by). Great addition to the game, a tad too small imho.

2. CTRL+Clicking on a map in inventory would put the map in the *active sub-tab* of the Waystone Tab. Right now it puts it in the first sub-tab of the appropriate level, making it hard to quickly organize the maps if you're using different sub-tabs for different types of waystones.

3. The game "knew" if I have enough mats for currency exchange/recombinator without me needing to open a specific stash tab everytime.

4. There were no Regal Orbs (instead give it's ability to Exalted Orbs) or Orbs of Transmutation (give its ability to Orb of Augmentation, or vice-versa). I fail to see what is the resoning behind their existance other than "we just copied them from PoE1". Clicking all those different orbs takes so much time and they just clutter the inventory (is that the reason they exist? To take up space?). PoE2 is a great opportunity to de-clutter what PoE1 can't de-clutter due to "history".

5. The new atlas pins actually worked. Right now they will take you to the pinned place, however if the place is more than a screen away from my position the atlas will not load and I need to manually scroll to that place anyway for the atlas to load.

6. A 2D Atlas mini-map that shows the layout, towers, citadels from a far-zoomed-out perspective. It doesn't have to show any maps, just provide a visual clue of what's been discowvered and is quick to navigate long-distance.

7. The wisps had 10-50x larger possesion area, right now the rare dies before the wisp can do anything. They move fine, however they posses soooooo slowly I just stopped utilizing them at all. Or make the wisp ultra-fast so that you don't follow the wisp itself but it's "trail".

8. There was a loot filter opiton for checking the number of charm slots on belts. (unless there already is such option and I just didn't read the memo :)

9. There was a way to quickly drop an item from inventory to the ground (like ctrl+alt+click), so that I don't need to drag all the items one-by-one outside the inventory slot.

10. Using runes from the rune tab was easier. Right now it takes a whole stack of 10 runes, then after I apply them I need to put the remaining runes from the stack back to their exact spot in the tab... it's tedious. Making it similar to Orbs (right-click to start applying, and another right-click to stop applying). Or take one rune at a time, not the whole stack.

11. Speaking of stacks, some (most) of them could be larger :)

Just some thought from the top of my head. Overall I really appreciate how the devs include many QoL improvements in the patches, the game really is moving in the right direction. I hope that sooner or later some of the above can also be implemented.

+11111 GGG PLEASE READ THIS

Same thing when you bind Space to an ability, you can't close any UI with space anymore, it suckssss
One or two centralized npc/bench for basic crafting (What about an actual crafting bench ?), taking care of disenchant, reforge and scrap at the same time.
Let players have a vendor window to reforge 3-to-1
Actually let's make this even better and let people scrap their items for shards directy in their stash tabs.
Lugging items in and out to vendor/bench is poinless and boring. It doesn't add "weight" or relevance or whatnot, it's just a pointless chore.
Just let people smash their items directly in their stash to recieve the regal shards, armourer's/backsmith's etc.

And also please please please increase inventory size, we know the technology exists, backpacks currently exists in the game, just let us all have one. You could even have some late game quests to improve the backpack if you wanted, it could be a nice axis of progression

Edit: also, as Mudwagon said, an auto-sort button would be really nice.
Last thing please let's make reforged items already identified when they pop.

They need to make it easier to break items for recipes at the beginning of the league. We need to mark unnecessary items as trash via the stash and break them all at once. Transfer them to inventory, throw them in the warehouse, take items from the warehouse again and break them again. The cycle is annoying. Additionally, inventory and stash sorting buttons should be added. Currencies should be collected by passing over them without having to click. Camera zoom out and zoom should be added to the map device.
