Yup, like I said. In PoE Two they removed player choice from the game. You dont need to think about ANYTHING, you just do what was prepared for you.

Precisely, this is why I roll my YouTube RF build every league. Because I enjoy thinking and player choice.
I wonder how good your RF build would be if you actually made it yourself?
Just because some people decide to use "youtube build" and just copy paste evertyhing, doesnt delete all the player choices that are availabe to players in PoE. You know what did delete them? PoE Two did.
They changed every system, builds included, to be so simple that negative IQ players can even figure it out.

[Removed by Support]. Maybe in 1.0 they will make a actual game.
For PoE 1 we will come back as long as they will continue with deccent updates.

POE1 was good but i must say i had "carpal tunnel" while i was playing POE1 and it got healed once i had to leave the game. Now i m playing POE2 with WASD controls i have no issue on my wrist.


As far as i understand POE1 and Last Epoch engines are similiar and GGG should add WASD for POE1 too and then may be i can play both.

Path of Exile has it's own engine made from scratch.

How are they similar in any way?

I think they meant it would be similar in that they could still bolt it on but the result would be similar to Last Epoch rather than more integrated like PoE2.

That question could easily be switched around. How are they different? The average gamer couldn't tell you and have no idea as to how a gaming engine really works, and will forever go around screaming "UNREAL ENGINE", without the slightest idea that UE won't fit every task.

I'm sure there are very distinct differences between Unity and GGG's engine when it comes to asset management, as Unity is a popular engine with a large library. But when it comes to APIs, rendering/graphics and physics, they're probably more similar than we realize. As I understand it, LE is also heading to "both" consoles, which forces certain similarities.

I played Poe in 2014-2015ish and never had any interest to try again until Poe 2 news. Played last July and honestly think I kind of missed out by avoiding Poe because it was great. Now multiple friends will be trying it out for the first time solely because they play Poe 2.
Ones a proprietary solution and the other is an established development tool, they will have a great many similarities but fundamentally the greatest difference is going to be scalability and efficiency which they clearly designed PoE for from the start. You can't get old server frying 20 spells per crit CoC on Unity without rewriting a substantial amount of it because its the opposite end of what its designed for.

You can when your micromanaging every resource though and ensuring its footprint is as small as possible and tidies up after itself perfectly.

And if your writing that part you clearly have staff to work in the base language to begin with so you may as well take advantage of all the other features you can optimise by doing it yourself.

Fairly irrelevant to us regardless especially if its being mentioned with regards to WASD as PoE2 already has it, I suspect what's missing in PoE1 is the animations to make it not look stupid AF.

They could make it so the character always runs in the movement direction for example but it will look bad when your actually playing it, if they go for a more organic facing system we instead moonwalk everywhere and it looks dumb again.

Basically this is a long way of writing that it will be achievable if they want to commit the resources to it but full rigging for all the characters is a reasonable undertaking when they have alot on their plate already. "i'm fine with my character looking dumb" is problematic too as some won't be.
