I mean, i still don't think it's as distasteful as when we all played in C.B. POE1, and the only system messages were generally C.W. himself joining the chat with us for a bit, or server status / update / restart prompts.

Then, when the game opened to the public, and that first "We're running a sale..."

Sigh, i'm not sure any of us even saw that coming... but prolly would have curbed a little of the very generous support before it ever happened if some of us had have seen it comin. lol.

But yea, the system message thing has been used to advertise from the get go, almost.
