GGG Create new locked forum thread for committed players only

You need to create a locked feedback forum thread for only players with certain played hours (you could set it as an achievement). To many muppets to actually get anything truly changed for the better.

You could set the rate at over 200+ hours played in game or spent 200+ usd and played 200+ hours, this will filter the players that truly want the game to succeed. Make it so you can be banned from it also, even if you have over 2000 hours played. We want true feedback to make the game better, not to make the game balanced to individual skill level as most posts suggest (D4).

Without this filter, any feedback is just wasted from useless posts which sound like complaining about there own skill and blaming the game mechanics (not all, just saying alot are). The posts that are from committed players is just washed away in the ether.

Of course this is gatekeeping, when the kids are naughty they should be punished.

When i read the posts i look at the players badges, and as unfair as it is, i take comments more serious when i see they have actually spent money to support the devs.

I get what you're saying, there's a number of trolls here that keep posting the exact same things that have also repeatedly said they don't play the game.

Feedback is useful from all levels of experience though, the problem in here is that it's hard to filter the useful bits out. GGG likely does one of 3 things with these forums:

1. Ignores them completely (I doubt it).
2. Have a team that brings interesting ideas/patterns to them (likely).
3. Uses analytics to sift through and find overall sentiment and specific pain points (also possible).

On top of that they likely do have a non-public team of players that are "trusted" that give them direct feedback. Obviously many of the big streamers are able to do that, but I would be surprised if streamers were the only source of direct feedback.

Pretty sure they already have it somewhere, but definitely not by metric of hours:) A private community where GGG, streamers, and ascended whiteknights stroke each other egos and talk about how awful players are. Where do you think all those nerfs and "nah, who needs fixing QoL" were coming from all those years?

If you wish to get in there, whiteknight harder, kick everyone who criticize poe design with "skill issue", and one day you'll disappear from this forum like some streamer I remember being here a pair of years ago. That guy likely got what he wanted.
That's it, you tell the 95% of players that have left why they are wrong.
That will fix the game!
I have 1300 hours in.

Whilst I agree moderation should occur if people are throwing insults to each other, the idea of a sanitized forum is worse.

Imagine wanting an echo chamber in an Early Access state in the feedback section. This idea by itself should directly lead to a ban. Do you see where this is going? If I don't like what you're saying, you should be banned, is that ok?
Many people will descibe their experience in a way that sounds like a complaint, and community managers who're part of a development group are able to process feedback and separate any frustration from the experience from any underlying issues, to then convey it into actionable information for product designers and ultimately developers.

For instance, I reported that in my 1st run this league (possibly because I was running with 70% IR from early levels) I got to level 50 and had dropped only 2 Regal Orbs, but had over 10 Exalts. I received plenty of replies ranging from calling me a liar vs telling me to just disenchant items.

The community as a whole defaults to "you're doing something wrong" and "this didn't happen to me so you're doing something wrong", and lack the empathy to consider other people's experiences.

I don't think a gated forum would help. But a forum where you could post and people could simply upvote but not respond, that could be useful. ;) I have reported dozen of actual, mechanical bugs that can be abused (although to be fair, nothing is as game-breaking as the original Cast on X with Wall of Flame and SRS), and I do it in-game so it doesn't increase awareness. Many of these remain in place since December, and with a public forum where issues could be upvoted, maybe that'd help raise visibility.

And BTW, the "supporter icons" don't represent your involvement in the game. Not everyone buys Supporter packs - I have 2600 hours since EA and a few hundred dollars spent (mostly to develop a guild). If I could remove the Wyrm and Ogham icons from the right side, I would. :)

Personally, i think its tacky as all fuck to allow 35+ supporter icons to flood a post that someone only types ...

"Rue is cat".

Leaving you scrolling two pages just to see next poster.

I leave all mine off, cept for C.B.
GGG - Why you no?
