767.5 Hours of Play - Update

I have played now 767.5 hours of POE2. I put these hours in because I know the potential this game has. I have been very critical of Jonathan and the game in my previous posts, but it comes from a good place.

First, I would like to focus on the positive. Some of the changes made are making the leveling/campaign part of the game feel better. For example, skill gem drops. Build diversity is better, but there are just so many underpowered skills that we would love to use but can't because they hit like a wet noodle. The Devs need to stop thinking that because a build is good and performing well that it needs to be nerfed, instead think how can we bring other builds up to this level.

Now the bad:

1. Random one shots are still there and it is annoying when you are level 80+ and take the XP hit. Someone who has a healthy health pool, Energy Shield and is resist capped should not be one shotted, especial from effects that linger from a dead mob.

2. SSF is a joke. If you want to play a build that has any type of specific unique, good luck getting it. This has to change. Do you really want us going to a trade website and downloading an overlay to have to get the gear we need for a build. This does not feel good. Is this your vision?

3. Endgame mapping is horrible, it is not fun. You juice up a map and get penalized by losing revives for doing so. Why is it that everything comes with a penalty in this game? Why do you guys insist on making everything a catch 22? Make me want to make, where is the reward?

4. It feels like character progression has ended after you finish the campaign. Everything is so slow and not rewarding. This ties into mapping and if your playing SSF knowing your not gonna get the unique you need.

5. Where are the Perfect Jeweler Orbs? Where are the divine orb drops. Maybe I'm just unlucky but in 767 hours of play I have got 1 Divine Orb Drop and no Perfect Jeweler Orbs

Is the vision the problem? Is it one person holding the game back? I dont know, but I wonder. It seems like you guys are hearing the feedback on some things but ignoring other things. I do applaud the updates and communication.

I agree with most of your points. Especially that after campaign the game essentially becomes Path of Trade and that you really get to feel how incredibly lackluster item progression and crafting is once you play SSF.

That being said: what the hell are you doing? get some rarity on your gear, use rarity precursor tablets, use rarity atlas points. I don't even know how you achieved that. I've had like 30-40 divs or so and about 7-8 perfect jewellers (in SSF), but I also run like 140% rarity on my gear.
They have been quite selective in choosing which criticisms to address and which ones they ignore, haven't they ?

With those kind of hours, and assuming most of them were spent in end-game mapping, that has to be a bad streak for the records. Even my notoriously bad luck never hit those kind of lows :S

On #5 to be fair, I get bored very quickly with mapping and I roll alts. Funny enough, the next map after posting this I got a perfect orb drop!

I agree with most of your points.

Same here. A bit overdramatic, but good points :)
(POE2 should not be POE1.5, GGG, keep it slower, more tactical)
