These threads reveal humanity in a microcosm. Those who thrive are always dismissive or willfully ignorant of the suffering of others. If PoE2 was such the great game some of you defend, then why are you all in the minority? The frustrations are real and 100% manufactured by GGG, whether directly or indirectly.
I agree with the OP on several points. GGG keeps pushing out new features that are mostly meaningless. The ones they feature are probably the best of the bunch and that 100% means that these will be rare. Useless features just generates more frustration. It's obvious to anyone who sees things objectively. Recombinators are useless. Once a character reaches a certain level, ground dros will always be better than the recombination items with reasonable chance of being successful. It's just quickly became another chore like disenchanting items for regal shards. Mindless and repetitive. Instead of continue working on it until it becomes useful or even valuable to the playing experience, they tack on similarly useless stuff. I'd rather they fix bugs, especially with rendering issues since they love their bullet hell and ground effects so much. If GGG fixes that I can completely live with the friction they so prize, even XP loss. Right now, it's just stupid to play this game when it tries so hard to reset your XP gain and goes so far as to flood the battlefield with invisible effects and insanely high accuracy on Slams and other AoE effects. Case in point: I recently noticed something so I subjected my character to the following test: 1. Wearing Hyrri's Ire with about 92% evasion and about 200 ES. 2. Tier 15 Steppe map with 3 enchantments 3. Pike-wielding white-trash creep with slam attack 4. capped Elemental Res with 30% Chaos Res 5. 45% block using a shield 6. 5% damage reduction from Passive skill 7. I clear the surroundings and only leave this [Removed by Support] creation alone to attack my character 8. I let my character stand and take the incoming slam attack from this PoS creep. I make sure that any "recency" effects have dissipated by waiting 10 seconds before making the stance. 9. In 3 maps, with the same # of retries (making it 9 all in all), the character is killed on the 1st attack. Each and every time. 1 slam attack, from a white PoS monster. No variation at all. 9 consecutive times, 1 monster with slam. 10. This is pure BS. What are the attack values involved? It seems it always hits and always crits. Yuck. Just fix the gameplay experience GGG. You can keep your challenging systems and your friction etc etc just fix all these aggravating issues please because aggravation is causing all these players to post angrily here in your forums.
