/!\ Maps Layout is the BIGGEST problem
Hi,
POE 2 is a great game overall, but time after time the main problem of this game is Maps Layouts ! Tends to make the game very annoying. Narrows places Layout full of little things you get stuck in Cant read the path, too much smalls blocking objects scattered around Unlogical pathway to clear So messy layout you have to play constantly with minimap over you and you just look at minimap lines to know where to walk.... GGG you wanted to make a clean Hack & Slash but your maps layout is the biggest mess... Remember why people were running Plateau, we dont want to be in a labyrinth every 2 maps, and get stuck, blocked, killed with unreadable terrain... Are Maps designers playing the game ? Amen. Fix the maps. Open them up. And those tiny trees. Why do I collide with twigs.

Indeed, the map layout directly contradicts what the end game mechanics are asking for. You have ritual altars spawning in small corridors where no monsters fit, so you gain practically no tribute. Then you have breaches that require you to navigate the expanding circle fast enough to sustain it, but you aren't able to because you have to path through winding tunnels and around random pieces of terrain. To top it off, often times you collide with terrain because the delirium fog is so overpowering that you can't even see where you're going.

And for that matter to the OPs point. If I want to go to an open desert to fight, I should be in a known open desert with many nodes. Why is the map random? Lose that AI trash and make a map of Wraeclast and let us travel to the Biome we wish. We can random generate maps but the game can't figure out I want to go around a twig. Stupid artifact non functioning pots have collision on. I get caught on pots in the sewer which seems to be every other zone. Some aoe effects dont go up elevations. So you die trying to hit an effectively immune mob. Shield charge don't collide with flies or floating mages.

gotta agree that maps could be better. but there is a lot of things to get better in this game

Again, less than one minute feedback...
I found 10 breaches in a map, and the layout was so FFFFFFing horrible, blooming field, couldnt read any pathway. Unfun as hell. Started with hype and wend so F**** mad. I just want to close game right now. |
