Btw I know WoW-style MMO which officially allows to change in-game UI with player-made mods (no anime and no mobile cash cow game). And skies still didn't collapse there.

I dunno. As a modder, I'd rather just make a better game.

If I had some funding, artists and a few extra coders to help. I'm pretty sure I could do better.
That's not even a front. Most my mods have a 95% or higher ratio. Some are quite large in scope.

I've been playing ARPGs since Diablo 1 beta came in PC-Gamer magazine and prolly played more of them than most people. It saddens me to see they turned into such an empty experience.

There's a reason CRPGs (The origin of ARPGs) are making a come back.

That would mean they would have to change ToS, very unlikely for that to happen. And again, what would stop someone from modding something specific for themselves? (like the examples you provided).

They would have, most likely, to pass through some kind of checking before being allowed by GGG.
