So minimum two more years of early access according to Jonathans latest interview...

I bought the game the week it came out and was advertised as roughly six months expected early access.

Its been six months and we have seen one content patch. Shortly after game release it became an expected year of EA.

Now after having skimmed through Jonathons recent interview with TalkativeTri, it looks like a minimum of another two years based on Jonathans own words.

4 months between each content patch and a minimum of five more patches as there are still 5 classes not in the game... minimum 20 months and that assumes no major issues.

This is such a joke, I really regret supporting this in early access now.

Why do even your smallest patches take weeks to implement? Most of them are just changing a single digit within a line of code and somehow it takes weeks...

still no news on 0.3, so at best we will see it two months from now.

This is unacceptable.

Cannot take anything Jonathan says at face value at this point.

I have no inside information, but what it strongly looks like to me is that he is brand new to managing a project at scale. He, and the whole company, are used to a player base in the thousands, not the millions. It requires a different skill set to deploy at that scale.

They'll get there. It's going to require a personal, and company, learning process.

FWIW the day I heard there were a million people signed up for EA, I said oh, that's going to take two years.

I doubt it will be that long - my guess is early next year. He also said earlier that the game may not launch 1.0 with all of the classes. Based on his comments this interview, they will try to release on a schedule rather than content being ready.

The game is nowhere near rdy for release and they got 1shot at a good 1st impression to win over folks.


The current state of the game is multiple lightyears away from being good enough to even think about launching it.

This, game will constantly change no matter if EA or release so why care

I'd rather have a lot of patchs of EA instead of having an imcomplete launch...

the game is playable, we have fun testing and helping its improvement

So, why need to rush?

Let the game be its marterpiece it was born to be (I know its very far from it, but it will reach it)
