Unplayable after latest nvidia driverss
Here is what happened to me:
I booted up PoE2 for the first time. It gives me notification that my GPU drivers are out of date. There is another game I play a lot called Smite and it is running smoothly for me at the current driver. Then I go to nvidia official driver and download the latest driver. I begin playing PoE2. I witness the stuttering and lag that you mention. I boot up Smite... It has the same stuttering/lag issue which I previously did not experience at all in the older driver, it was buttery smooth... The driver is messed up. I had to revert to older driver. My suggestion (it solved my problem): Totally uninstall your driver using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) software tool. After uninstalling, run windows update so that it automatically finds the latest stable driver that works well with windows. Go to Device Manager and go to Display Drivers dropdown and right click the Nvidia Driver and select Update Driver. Windows should tell you that you already have the latest driver. Note, the windows driver is a different driver from Nvidia official driver. I guess the windows driver works more stably with windows or something. Boot up PoE2. it will give the message that you don't have latest driver. Ignore the message. Enjoy the game, it's buttery smooth. IGNs-

" LOL didn't even consider it. Chat (and chat replication) should be the most lightweight part of the application (networking) respectively. GGG really sucks at multithreading:) |

Hey,
looking at your spikes it seems chat related. As many others are experience. Typing "/clear" (no quotations) helps there for maps an so on. You're main post isn't very helpful for people to help you as there's a bit of information missing. Did what I mentioned above already? These would help to narrow down the problem. Which Graphics Card are you running? Have you re-installed the Graphics Driver? Was it a fresh Install or automatic? For me, Debloating the Graphics Card in Windows Safe Mode and Installing a custom version of the Driver helped. I soon came to realize that some problems aren't just down to the Game /GGG. Nvidia settings aren't 100% optimal for the Game. |

I've been having massive stuttering since the latest nvida driver.
Have game on a fast SSD, 3080TI GPU, the game has always run smooth except for the instance reloads, I don't get those anymore since the patch. Anyway... I tried rebuilding shaders, adjust suggested settings, nothing worked. I tried turning off global and trade chat, didn't work. But the /clear suggested worked. Very smooth now, no stuttering. Thanks! |
