Is it possible that delirium fog will ever be removed?

I know this topic has been discussed to the point of exhaustion, but my eyes are becoming exhausted by the constant delirium fog and it's having a severely negative impact on my experience with the game.

And no, I won't just run my maps without instilling emotions into them, because if I'm not maximizing my loot potential, I'm not having fun.

Maybe I want to have my cake and eat it too? But I genuinely don't feel that it's reasonable to have to pay the price of ugly visuals and eye strain just so I can min/max my waystones.

I guess my question is, is it even a possibility that this horrid visual effect will be removed from our game experience? I've seen people say that the vast majority of the community has disliked delirium fog for years, but it was never addressed by the devs. I'm holding onto a glimmer of hope that maybe they will get rid of it, but the way I've seen people talk about it has been pretty discouraging.

I agree. I cant see shit in Delirium/Simulacrum. It has caused many deaths and alot of XP loss.

You have a frustration - Delirium fog visuals
You can choose what to play and you chose - Delirium

Well then it's up to you.

My proposed solution - Seriously nerf Delirium. Its anyway too rewarding.

The fog should last on average 1/4 maybe 1/2 of a map, not the entire map. Players should also not be able to run every map affected by this mechanic, maybe around every 3rd or 4th map, if they spec into it.

Solved.

wtf? no its not too rewarding, specially if you need to juice each map then corrupt it and then have a very small chance of it becoming t16, or its just a waste. some become pure prefix but mostly its a waste of the juice.

they like the annoying fog effect, and no matter how much % they lower its visibility, if its not 100% its probably still gonna drop the FPS (the biggest problem for me).

I would change the delirium fog into a shocked/burning/chilled ground type effect, you stand on it and you get reduced visibility. no annoying fog needed, just reduced visibility for when u are on top of it.
The fog in its current state simply negates all the efforts of the level designer. The only reason it's still in the game is that GGG can't find a file where it comes from, otherwise I don't see a reason why it's still in.
It's really the simulacrum that's the bigger problem because at least deliriums are temporary and you will usually do delirium in the middle of doing a lot of other things.

The fog AND the music are a problem.

I generally prefer to not follow this line of reasoning, because a person can use it as justification for doing (or not doing) just about anything in life. Playing the game is a choice in and of itself. I appreciate the feedback but I'm heavily in disagreement with what you're saying. I'm not saying you're wrong, it could simply be due to our differences in playstyle and/or progression within the game.

I'm not referring to the delirium mirror that you run through at the start of a map, nor am I referring to the simulacrum. I was more so referring to running delirium instilled waystones and being so heavily incentivized to do so, to where it practically becomes a necessity if you're trying to make the most out of every map. When you heavily invest in towers and your precursors, it feels wasteful to not use distilled emotions on your waystones. I should have probably specified that in my post.

The argument about not using distilled emotions if the fog bothers you is ridiculous.

I don't know if someone who says something like this is just being dishonest or straight up doesn't understand that this is an online game with a market. I'm not playing alone, I'm playing together with the market, the market prices are dictated by how much people farm. Do you really not understand this?

Why do many people play the strongest meta build? Some because they think it's fun, but many because it farms faster and they can get currency faster even if they hate the build itself. It's the same logic with the fog. Of course you can play some random build that clears a map every 1 hour, but you're on the same market as the guy who does that in 1/10 of your time.

You're telling me to purposefully cut my farm from the thing I repeat the most daily instead of just removing the fog that doesn't bring any positives to the game, only negatives. Really?

+1. The fog was fun for a season. Get rid of it already. Delirium becomes mandatory in late game and why have well designed graphics if we can't even see them? Is anyone in charge of the overall vision for the game?

My sentiment exactly. The graphics engine created specifically for this game is incredible, it's quite literally a work of art. And then with the implementation of the fog, they just dull everything out and downright ruin the visual appeal of the game. It's mind blowing to me that it's even there to begin with.
