Cant progress, Cant play
" Yes HC is a completely different game, on a completely different planet. The comunity is completely different and play is so much slower. When in parties people drop out all the time because they don't feel ready for certain areas, people are traumatised when seeing someone they were in previous party with dying and sit around town farming low level areas for a couple days lol. When someone dies in HC it's like they actually died in real life, when someone dies it's life everyone has to say rip every time and have a moment of silence lol. People get scared last minute at bosses and leave you to solo a boss on a 4 person difficulty because 2 got scared and logged off and one just takes advantage and waits to see if you solo it and takes the progression and leaves without saying a word. People can hang around a certain area for days trying to find upgrades. Every single interaction in trade and when leaving party ends with glss (good luck stay safe) stay safe is a custom that must be upheld in every interaction. HC is much, much slower than softcore and has its own customs and traditions. When people say hc is a completely different game to sc they are not kidding. Everything from the way you play to the way you interact with people is completely different. Fells like your playing a different game. Edit: and yes loot feels so much worse in HC because when you die, that character and everything on the character is dead and your starting again from nothing but what's in your stash. If you spent all your currency on that character and it dies, then it was all completely wasted. The low drop rates and currency drop rates feel exceptionally bad in hardcore. |

If you get an item with 2 or more useful affixes during campaign, you have no right to complain. Weapon and chest seem to be the most important. Try to get at least 2 there. Boots for speed and u done. Avoid Silverfist and Blackjaw until you get twice the defense you think you need. If you are forced to pick at least 1 option against your build in the chaos trial, restart it. Content being available to you does not necessarily mean you have to immediately do it. I only played hc not hc ssf, I would see the same people starting new characters all the time. The hc trade mentality is die and delete, start again. I almost always rage quit for 2 or 3 days then started fresh after that lmao. 9 times out of 10 I was getting to maps and farming so when I died it was always tragic lol |

" GGG is a company of contrasts. They want player to get to end game and get hooked, yet their hubris compels them to make the campaign hard and exhausting. They made a whole new game touting slower and meaningful combat, while only deliberately slowing our character while mobs still run around like cracked up caffeine fiends. They know that a good chunk of players detested Sanctum and Ultimatum, yet they rework them to try to get people that hate them to not hate them. They say they want players to trade, yet they make it as difficult as possible. Why? Why try to get players to play your way? Most players don't like the campaign, hate being slow, and now miss Labs, and hate trading. Good job GGG, you alienated everyone but your most devoted fans. |

" I don't mean to dogpile, but as far as poe 2 is concerned, up until now, it'ss pretty clear they don't know what they're doing. The game looks cool, and it has its moments here and there but mostly, everything is working backward. It seems decision making is mostly cut off from the expectations of the player base and the VISION is somehow almost always trying to steer poe 2 in the opposite direction of what makes poe 1 fundamentally outstanding. Welcome to POE Ruthless mode.
Stupid (experiment) game design by Chris in POE 1, and continued through Mark in POE 2. Why Jonathan thought it would work on a new audience is crazy, POE 1 released in a time when people didnt have a great new ARPG. So they accepted almost everything bad, even to this day POE 1 players have stockholm syndrome and will defend it like stans. Low levels going to multiple vendors and looking for gear is what helped me. Back track to all vendors also. I had to change from SSF also when i got stuck and started with nothing again at around Level 40 to trade. P.S
