Why is base mana regeneration so low? It makes spell casters feel powerless.

Can we get a base increase to mana regeneration? It's not very fun when every build I try, I have to spend hours trying to figure out how to keep mana from vanishing, so I actually have more than 2 seconds of uptime before having to wait 3 seconds to regen.

Base mana regeneration on my character with no items is 158.4 at level 96 all of my spells cost more than its capability to regen through. Thats with arcane surge and mana regeneration passives.

With top tier items it's up to 466.6 and I fully can sustain at that level against regular mobs due to on kill mana recovery and 35% reduced spell cost. The moment I am fighting something that takes more than 3 to 4 seconds to kill and there are no mobs my sustain fails. Please up the base mana regeneration by 10% more when scaling so that our horrible additive buffs can actually gain some mana regeneration.

In 0.1.0 I was able to get up to 1.3K mana regeneration and it felt nice.... now it feels like I spend more time waiting for my mana to regenerate than I get to actually fight the boss in pinnacle fights and that doesn't feel great.

Or change some of the passive mana regeneration rate to be "more" instead of increased so we can actually scale it.


It is the bottleneck to make it different. Cast speed is easy to get, crit also, so they are limiting players with mana.


Limiting players to 3 seconds of uptime is a horrible game balance decision.
It's truly unfortunate, I've been suffering from the same issue. I love my cold chronomancer to death, but playing mana starved all the time just sucks. I even tend to avoid +levels to skills for some classes too because of how bad the costs scale. I could maybe deal with it more if the mana flasks weren't also pathetic...

Yeah it's really sad. Like the only reason I struggle with simulacrum even though I can complete all the other pinnacles is because of mana sustain and having to dodge and weave during my mana down time.... If I had a good mana solution I could do it easier. Wish I could play that content but I'm gate kept by GGG's decision to kill mana as a resource.

Yeah even my meele monk has mana sustain issues that I have to fix. It's crazy how bad it is. I understand limiting us with mana. However, we should be able to actually solve our mana problems... not just accept them and be in 3 second down times in rotation.
Mana is fine. Invest in resource management. What do you want? To only invest in defense, offense, speed and utility? LOL
HC SSF. What else? Ruthless when?

I have, I see you didn't read the post. Thanks for the bump though. You also shotgun posted every post in the recent history which doesn't really help.

I just need rings that are as powerful as mine to actually roll t1 mana regeneration. Sadly none exist on the market and I haven't gotten any. Even then it probably won't put me over 1k mana regen.

"Simply equip all mirror tier items" is what you are saying.

Both caster classes beging their Trees really close to a bunch of nodes that add mana regeneration and max mana.

Trust me. I'm level 96 I'm aware. They do nothing to actually solve the problem on their own. The base level is not high enough for them to make a meaningful difference.
