Reduced Recovery Rate map's mod

Is it intended to also affect life/mana leech?
Only way to boost them is increasing amount leeched and not recovery rate, right?
If yes why that mod affect leech too, completely brick my build lol

Yup, don't run those maps if you can't. I stopped going into maps with temp chains a very long time ago, and more recently stopped going into maps with increased monster speed. My character can't deal with it reliably and I'm a high enough level that dying would be a pain.

Agreed. OP, you can add some sophistication to this. I put my "bad" waystones on the right hand side of the stash tab window, so I don't accidentally put them in the map device. Once you get the unique boots that negate temp chains, you can run a bunch of temp chains waystones in a row.

The problem comes when players think they should be able to run all content without changing gear. They'll just get frustrated. You're Batman, not Superman. Your gadgets matter.
Thanks for clarification, i'm simply running amazon and tactician with Last Lament which completely rely on life leech, both doing amazingly well on maps and t3 pinnacles so far but that mod destroys both of them. Another thing to vendor then, cheers.

Edit: or Just fix It and make It so It doesnt affect Life leech since i cannot boost It via increase recovery so It shouldnt be affected by reduced recovery.

In PoE1 there's almost always a way to gear around a problem, because there have been so many uniques and crafting tools added over the years. PoE2 might not have a solution for you yet. Have you tried wearing Carnage Heart?

I'm ok on switching support gems and gears as long as they dont brick the build furthermore.

I'm switching amulet already for pinnacles, Beacon of azis, it has the same spirit of the other amulet but i'm giving away lot of cold res but since it's a huge boost to dps fight doesnt last long.

don't know if it is worth to switch another amulet and give away +skill level and resistance for whole map due to a bad designed map's mod.

"Recovery" encompasses every instance of a resource's value increasing. Life pot/Regen/Recoup/leech all of it.

That is not true, it's not affecting life leech.

Instilled an ammy with hale heart, my life leech was 25.46% and it didnt change when i equipped it. it didnt increase the amount of life leeched.

So if you meant it does apply to recovery RATE i'm ok with that but i'm pointing out that the reduced recovery mod from a map is reducing the total amount of life leeched and not the recovery rate.


normal Life Leech is "recover 25.46% of physical damage as life over 5 seconds (example)

With a 50% reduced recovery it should be:

recover 25,46% of physical damage over 7.5 seconds

that map's mod instead is making it recover 12.5% of physical damage as life over 5 seconds.

I will try to test it again but playing with that mod is disheartening :D

Hale Heart should affect Life Leech. The final value of Life you heal from leeching should be 15% higher. If that's not happening then it's bugged just like the other Recovery Notables Soul/Mana Bloom.

thats what i'm saying, bad designed or bugged since it only affect players on the downside.

And the map mod i'm referring to clearly states "Players have 60% reduced RECOVERY RATE of life and energy shield" it doesnt mention amount recovered.
