Id suggest you dont try to turn people away from the game you "love" Especially when its a game still in development that needs a funding source.
This is all that needs to be said. Answering on assumptions and ignorance. Never have I said I love this game. This game already has funding.
We do love the game. It's potential shows through it's rough edges.
The multiple levels of irony in this statement, whether through intention or naivety, aren't lost on me. Thanks for the morning laugh. Have a good day.

Shout out to the dad gamers
For real. I just want to have fun with my friends.... not all of us are 16 with no lives or commitments anymore.... we rarely get enough time where all 6 of us are able to play games anyway why make us spend so much time just to be able to play.
Then go play another game? Wild thought, innit? Another one. You're not the target audience. 🤯
Seriously though, the world doesn't revolve around you and your friends, bud. Asking to change the entire game to suit your time schedule is as entitled and egotistical as it gets. Go live your life and your commitments maybe? Just saying.
I'm not asking them to change the entire game. All they have to do is change the rarity numbers and some xp values so that it isnt such a slog. The game is fine. The time investment in the game is not.
Make some of the campaign random generated areas less maze like and it would be better.

Changing "some numbers" in a numbers game will fundamentally change the entire game.
This is not a custom tailored experience for you and your friends that have a life as you said. Just stop being so egocentric for a hot second maybe and you'll understand that, maybe. But probably not. Oh well..

Oh they don't have to change it. I'm not being egocentric. This is a feedback forum. Where im...... providing feedback. If they want to keep it like it is that's fine. They just lose 6 customers that actually spend money on the game and buy MTX. Which is fine with me. I'll have mine and my friends money and time go elsewhere when I burn out from the over grinding.
Cuz it'll happen eventually.
All of us have already stopped spending money on the game because we are already aware that as the game currently is it will die in our group the moment I get bored.
Their loss of revenue source is a net gain for me actually. I have more money if they have less. If they want the target audience to be people who just play the game and don't spend money that's fine. They can chase away the people that have good jobs and can afford to drop a couple thousand on the game every couple months.

Not really. We all play other grindy games. Hell we play Escape from Tarkov, Runescape, FF14, and a slew of other games that are just as grindy.
However, one thing those games all have that this game doesn't is a purpose behind the grind and a reasonable time to "acomplishment".
Tarkov = multiplayer supremacy and the adrenaline high
Runescape = nostalgic OG MMO (i quit this one because it's grind is pointless imo this is a game that's not for me)
FFXIV = great story and awesome raids.
I would say PoE 2 is absolutely a game for us given the right feedback and time to be developed. However, in it's current state this game will die due to Burnout. Have you considered that maybe this game isn't for you? Because at its current rate this game isn't for anyone.
Telling people a game isn't for them is how your community dies and is quite honestly the stupidest thing you can do for an already niche genre and game that already had a breakout moment gained a huge audience and lost a lot of those players with negative feedback on steam. PoE2 will likely never recover to review score above 90% where it was. Which will also turn away new audience.
Id suggest you dont try to turn people away from the game you "love" Especially when its a game still in development that needs a funding source.
I agreed with the thread title, but not really with the body of your post. The randomization is killing my fun a bit, it's not even true random it's heavily weighted for failure and they probably do need to ease up on that.
One of your main arguments was that your friends don't have enough time to play the game in its current state because they all have jobs and kids and real life obligations, but then you go on to list a bunch of other games you all play together, including an mmo xD
So, you're asking ggg to change their sweaty no-life grinder (what it's known for) into an easier arcade game for literally casual players, because your friend group doesn't want to prioritize poe2 over your other games.
Saying "maybe this game isn't for you" isn't rude, it's a very polite question and a way of saying that the core players might be here BECAUSE of the grinding and no-lifing. There's a market for that type of game and maybe your group isn't in that market. If you find that offensive then I don't know what to say. Perhaps you can make some suggestions that cater to both the hardcore grinders and the "I only have 2 hours to play each week because I'm too busy playing other games" crowd. But make sure catering to one side doesn't ruin it for the other.
Ultimately it's up to ggg and their overlords who they want to cater to. But hey, money makes the world go round doesn't it.

Oh I don't find it offensive. It's just a dumb community move. When your ship is designed for whaling you don't fish for minnows and chase away the whales. I could care less if they change the game. We as a friend group really do love the game and how it plays. Easily 15k USD spent on the game between our group. However, that amount of money usually requires a job. If they won't respect my time they won't get the money simple as that.
All those games are grindy. You're right. Like I said the grind is rewarding in those games. In PoE2 not so much. The time investment to be rewarded in those other games is maybe 60-100 hours .... PoE2 is rewarding the first time you play it in that zone. However, this is a live service games that needs to continue to be rewarding past that initial playthrough..... and it's just not.
Essentially those other games are the competition and PoE2 needs to try and compete

I never played PoE1 but as long as the crafting bench people talk about speeds up item progression as much as people make it sound like it will. I'm in.

It was said tongue in cheek. I'm generally not a fan of a game opening itself up to their target audience becoming the lowest common denominator (Diablo 3 onwards).
Your first two sentences bug me:
"My friends only join leagues after I grind out 400-1000 hours and get stuff. I speed run them through the campaign and then we play together."
Most of the fun is had at league start, no? Game is pretty pointless if you just get on, gear up for free, and trade is already saturated.
Anyway, that's not meant to give you the impression that I think the game is fine the way it is. Most of my friends played 0.1 with me and aren't going to bother coming back until release. The game is basically 1-dimensional right now.

Changing some numbers won't fundamentally change the game, not sure where you even come up with that conclusion. If they change numbers to boost XP gain at higher levels, even by just adding more map tiers, that won't change the fundamentals it will just keep the endgame from being such a slog. If they change some numbers to reduced "one shots" from white mobs in late end game, that doesn't fundamentally change anything unless the fundamental design is to piss off players
