DO ORB OF CHANCE EVER WORK ?
" You don't say... I am trying to chance Asphyxia's Wrath Broadhead Quiver. That hard to chance? The base is "Adds 1 to 3 Physical Damage to Attacks" implicit quiver. Should happen relatively often. The item is not as insane as Astramentis or something... HC SSF. What else? Ruthless when?

chaos is also rigged. all they do is remove the best stat on the item and replace it with something useless.

" Oh, not just chaos xD Everything in this game that involves RNG, or in other words, everything, is heavily, heavily weighted in favour of delivering the least desirable result. - Chaos will highly prefer rerolling your highest/rarest modifier - Fracture will highly prefer the lowest/most common modifier to lock in - When using different item level/base type items in the Revaporizer, sorry, Recombinator, it will highly prefer slapping the modifiers on the worst one IF it succeeds at all - etc, etc, etc And so on and so on. To get a better idea of just how insanely stacked against you the odds are when doing any crafting action whatsoever, just check out https://poe2db.tw/us/Modifiers and have an in-depth look at - the different weights for all possible modifiers per item type - the different weights for higher, middle and lower tiers per modifier per type - plus the fact that how those values have all been very carefully and deliberately been chosen so that for each possible combination of 3 prefixes or of 3 suffixes, and if you have 2 on there already, the one that would be preferred as 3rd will always get the lowest chance to occur when viewing it's weight relative to the combined weights of all remaining possible ones Then again, POE 1 was no different in that regard. Getting the really good stuff in GGG/POE games always has been somewhat like winning the lottery. But, POE 1 at least had some more deterministic crafting options available to offset this fact, which POE 2 does not. At the current price of 7 divines for 1 omen of whittling, you need to have SERIOUS wealth to even consider that a viable crafting option, yet, to even attempt to make high-end gear, the omens ARE the only option available for now. But paying 7 divine per ONE measly roll of the dice PER modifier to change, knowing and understanding the odds of success we're dealing with here ? " Yeah this confirms what I've been experiencing as well with Chaos and Annulement. GGG we get that you want us to play hard and not get things easily, but there is a fine balance. At this rate this will demotivate more than motivate people to play / craft. Feels like a waste of time. In 1300 hours I had ONE good item worth 100D. One. Even simple things with maps. Like 9 times out of 10, if I have a map with pack size and temp chain, annulement will remove pack size. It makes you hate the game and I don't think it's a good feeling to have. |

I believe this is all by design and they know exactly what they're doing. The pushing ofgambling in thisgame is uncanning.

I've used a hundred of them and all I've ever gotten was one crappy Heavy Belt. I was rolling to get a Headhunter but instead I got one of the new crappy unique belts.

I got better luck dropping the Dream Fragment Sapphire Ring yesterday. I was so happy untill I realised it's pretty worthless now, like a lot of stuff these days.

What's the point of chance orbs existing then? To confuse people into wasting time?
It's amazing how GGG gets so many passes for a game that has more mistakes and total fumbles than the things it gets right... |
