1 item 100% guaranteed corruption at end of season?
I'd rather get a cosmetic or something IF a reward for participating a league was needed tbh.

Nothing about what I said focuses on seasonal play.
The entire reward happens in standard realm. What are you talking about. Like make a logical argument. The idea just fundamentally doesn't fit with the game's philosophy. Items and crafting tools are never account bound for one, deterministic outcomes for crafting are another thing that are avoided. Corrupting something can have a negative result. It's not the final necessary step in crafting, it's something that you can choose to do or not do. You may get something good, you may get something bad. That's basically the point of crafting, you are gambling for the perfect item. A person could realistically achieve something similiar using the confines of what is available already and just having more bases to work with. If a "perfect character" is something you are striving for in standard, then it can be done with effort and multiple tries, which is kind of the point of rare gear. If you give a way to guarantee a perfect corrupt then those items won't even be seen as valuable, it will just be a normal thing to have a positive outcome, it would take away from the experience of actually achieving it. It would not give people incentive to play, because the "insane gamble" on the corruption is gone, and therefore the luster for the item or accomplishment is diminished. It would not incentivize new players to craft or find the perfect item once, if they were going to craft or find the perfect item for their build then they can just do it without the corruption. It is really not that much of an increase to hit a good corrupt. |
