For me the only thing that worked for real to stop crashes(i7 14000 kf):go to bios, disabled both turbo mode AND turbo boost.Loss of performance?Yes,i drop to 40 fps when things get crowded, but the gain in mental sanity is worth. And cpu remain in the 65/80 c temp.

CPU: I7 14700k
GPU 3060 RTX RAM: 64 (2x32) Game crashing. Looks like only higher end computers are having the problem. My previous computer had no problems... CPU I7 8700k GPU 3060 RTX RAM : 32 (4x8) Looks like its the multithreading (hyperthreading) , no problems since i turned it off. My CPU temps are rather high playing this game though. 70-80 with spikes up to 95. You would think this would be a high priority for the devs. 最後に Zaethiel#9561 が 2025/09/24 19:31:44 に編集

Hello,
I had the same issue for days, and i think i found the reason for the issue, at least it works for me. So i upgraded to windows 11 due to windows 10 being decomissioned. And one off the new features is disk encryption via Bitlocker. This casuses a bunch off data access violation errors (that cause the game to crash) not just on poe but on other apps. I turned off bitlocker on my drives and no more crashes for a couple of days now, and my fps also improved a bunch :D as a bonus. Steps: 1. Open Control Panel > System and Security > Bitlocker Encryption 2. Turn off bitlocker on all drives (can be turned back on if security is a concern) 3. Wait for Bitlocker off" status on drives (this can take a long time on non nvme drives 500MB/min is what Microsft estimates). 4. This step might not be needed but a clean install off poe2 might be usefull. A bunch off files might be shown as corrupted and a steam data validation might be needed. Hope this helps JumioPoe

Bump, this has been ongoing since patch the 2nd patch this league.
i9 14900k 64gb ram RTX 4070ti Super I have tried clean install of windows and the game. driver updates. extending paging and cache files and every other recommended setting or fix i can find and yet still crashing constantly. Can run for a few mins and then game stutters, freezes and then hard crashes to desktop no error message. Event viewer usually shows this although i can vary Faulting application name: PathOfExile.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x68d1ca09 Faulting module name: dxcompiler.dll, version: 1.8.2407.7, time stamp: 0x66a9ae4f Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x000000000076240b Faulting process ID: 0x7f4 Faulting application start time: 0x01dc2f3f0ae31c95 Faulting application path: E:\PathOfExile.exe Faulting module path: E:\dxcompiler.dll Report ID: e8a0b827-19b8-4441-bb51-d83934fabb69 Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: Please GGG look into this, it is painful trying to play like this. I feel like it is either something to do with higher end graphics cards as my wife is playing on a gtx 1090ti with no crashes. |

I have been having the same issues. Mine started with patch 0.3.0c hotfix. I get a CTD and driver reset. Was pulling my hair out and then just left my setting at default with no undervolt on my 9070xt. Been stable for a few days. The second I undervolt the card in any way it take a dump and send me to desktop.
My 9070xt has Hynix memory and runs at 92c under Fure Strike Extreme 20/20 runs. Hits 92c and stays there after 6/20 runs. I have tested with an undervolt on in Fire Strike Extreme and I pass 98.9% with a -80mv or 99.8% at stock. I have tried Vulcan and its crashes at stock. Tried DX11 and was really choppy. Unplayable 5-10 fps. Reverted to DX 12 afterwards and not crashes since. Maybe someone can test switching to dx11 and compiling and then switching back to DX12 and see if that help. I have no clue what’s going on because there seems to be such random crashes. Usually in map but that’s it. |

My experience is that every 1h~ game seem to crash. I get the GGG logo and after 20-30 seconds I am back in the game but all the fog I covered in the map is gone.
I read that disabling engine multithreading should help but when I do that game works slow as hell as if my PC is from the 90's. However, my PC is high-end PC from last year with 5080 and 9800x3d EDIT: After hours of checking it is definitely a case of Engine Multithreading When I disabled it I didn't have any crash. However, as I said, game works really bad without it. 最後に arik84#4024 が 2025/09/27 17:37:34 に編集
