Disciple of Varashta - Kelari's Deception skill doesn't auto swap weapon set

The Kelari's Deception skill is greyed out if you select a weapon set and aren't using that weapon. I set Kelari's Deception to weapon set I and am unable to cast the skill when using weapon set II.

I have Navira's Fracturing as first ascendancy and I can neither set Navira to a certain weapon set, on top of that I can't activate Fracturing if weapon set 2 is currently active. So it seems to work only with weapon set 1.

I have done more testing, and I have come to the conclusion that GGG just might have forgotten the weapon swap buttons for djinns. And please don't tell me that is by design, because I can a single reason for it. I even want to say those djinns are like even a prime example to use weapon swaps for.

Yeah, this feels like an oversight for sure. Other minions like Skeletal Snipers have the weapon swap checkboxes but Navira's Fracturing (and I suppose the others too) just doesn't.
Edit: I think I was a dum-dum and didn't realise that there was two tabs per skill and you had to click the second one (this feels a bit odd as well). That said, the command skills behave very poorly. I want my caster skills on Weapon Set 1 and command skills on Weapon Set 2, but disabling the command skill on WS1 completely disables the Djinn on that weapon set. Worse yet is that it disables the command skills so you can't even switch using them, and if you manually switch all the command skills are put on cooldown. All in all this feels very bugged and even after a patch that addresses some related issues these command skills are still not behaving like other command skills. Seems like the problem is that if you select a weapon set for the djinn command skills it unsummons the minion when you are in the other weapon set, and then you can't use a command skill for a minion that doesn't exist. But surely these minions are meant to persist and not toggle off when you swap weapons. You can enable command skills for all sets and manually swap weapons and all the features of weapon set specific skill points work, so this has to be an error in the weapon set selection behavior for the djinns in particular.

i hope this get fixed, makes djin very very clunky to play. Manuel weapon swap is not fun :D

I'm surprised to hear this, and maybe the reason why can be useful to you:
I've been using a talisman in my second weapon set, and since you physically cannot use any ability that doesn't make use of a shapeshifted form while wielding a talisman, my weapons automatically swap all the time without issue. So if having a talisman weapon swap is an option for your build you might want to give it a try. It's honestly really good for me, I'm using pounce to get more minions, get more damage from the mark, for movement, for heavy stuns, for armor breaking, and once I get to level 5 support gems it'll drop blessed ground too. |

" No, you CAN assign a weapon set to the djinn but you have to scroll to the right in the skill description to see 4 additional tabs that do contain the "use with weapon set" checkboxes. For some reason, there are TWO tabs for each of the djinn's skills and the first ones don't have the weapon set checkboxes... That's an inconvenience and it took me some time to figure that out. But the actual problem (and I think that is what OP is referring to) is that: - the weapon set assignment applies to the djinn itself and all of its skills (meaning you can't have the djinn active with both weapon sets but only use Deception with weapon set II for example) - the djinn skills (and the djinn itself) are disabled if you are not currently using the weapon that the skills are assigned to (thus requiring you to manually weapon swap or use another skill bound to the djinn weapon set to make them usable) - the charges of the djinn skills are at 0 when you swap to the djinn weapon set so you have to wait for the charges to build up before actually being able to use them I sincerely hope this is an oversight that is getting fixed and not some - to be frank - stupid way of balancing the skills. Imo you should be able to assign the djinn and his skills to weapons independently so you can have the djinn active at all times (so the charges don't get screwed) but assign his skills to just one weapon set. |
