The real problem of XP LOSS.

You think its ok to stand ontop of a exploding monster and not understand whats going on and still not die. You also live in the past where your getting your information from old youtube shorts instead of accurate information from playing the game in its current state. Any opinion you have on this subject is invalid based on where your getting your information from and how you choose to engage in the discussion. I'm actually serious about my helmet idea. Serious players wont use it, and it might just keep casuals quiet.
It addresses casual's complaints and it costs currency, might be -the- chase item for casuals without them getting OP. `Spent 2 mirrors on my build, but I'm only Level 98.` LOL

" If you have zero issues with it, and it has xp loss, then the problem is with poe2, not poe2's xp loss. We can talk all about the other problems in poe2, and what needs changing. This is acceptable.. but you cannot change the core principle of xp loss. I do think that 90% of builds in poe2 are easily subject to deaths. I dont pin xp loss as the problem. Its those builds that need fixing. " In my opinion, simply lower the death penalty or completely remove it. It's not just the XP loss, but also the currency that goes into the maps and towers just to sustain it. Also, if I was willingly accepting a penalty for dying, I'd simply play HC. |

I read with pleasure. One (troll) calls everyone names and throws a tantrum in response to clear arguments. After that, he calls for polluting the forum, that is, doing what a real troll is used to doing. Another claims to be well versed in the game, and as proof of an "accidental death" provides a video of a stupid death, which proves what is already obvious to everyone - his own incompetence and an absolute misunderstanding of the mechanics of the game. Third just whines, and responds to the suggestion to "show the build" and somehow improve its build with, the expected silence. " It was all just hype generated by interviews and streamers telling everyone to play the game because its the best thing ever. Obviously everyone is gonna try out a new release, because tourist gamers will hop onto whatever game is fresh for the month. You can't keep using this argument of "but game good because it has exp loss". No, PoE 1 was good despite having exp loss not because of it. The community shaped that game into a fun experience. You can't just say "this salad is great because it has 1 horrible ingredient in it". 0 logic. We saw how long that lasted anyway, over 50% didn't come back for 0.2 and now the game is dwindling at 50k players lmao(40k atm, and at least half are probably bots). This game made almost all the streamers quit and go play other stuff, and now a few got baited back because of the promise of the loot patch making it fun again. That's so bad. Your argument makes absolutely no sense, exp loss being deleted would change nothing about this game. If its soooo important why isn't it in the campaign then? People seem to enjoy that part just fine without it. Very weird. |

If GGG offered a difficulty tier minus xp penalty it would have 99% of the players in it. Even those defending it in this long thread unless they made it attractuve to play in the others. Everyone would play minus XP penalties if it was offered.
Its that simple. If they offered it and players chose that difficulty then this debate could end and each camp can have its on economy. This is now 25 pages it is clearly an important topic to many. There IS no answer other than a diff difficulty really completely seperating the players. Its by design, its a mechanic thats working as intended. Even if it makes you not enjoy the game, that doesnt mean it isnt working as intended, its just telling you that this isnt a game for you. This isnt another game for you to come and grab your participation trophies. |
