Speak Up for PoE2: Join the Constructive Feedback Movement!

Introduction

Many of us love Path of Exile because of its freedom and depth, but PoE2 in Early Access has felt too restrictive and far from the classic formula we enjoyed. Players report that build choices feel limited, progression can be slow, and new systems often box us into one “meta” path. We share these frustrations not to rant, but to make a strong, organized protest – a constructive place to voice concerns and help the game get better. In this thread, each player is invited to post one issue per comment, clearly explain it, and offer a thoughtful suggestion. By keeping feedback focused and respectful, we can create an easy-to-read list of player insights for GGG to consider. Remember: we all want PoE2 to succeed – let's show that we care enough to help fix it.

How to Contribute

• One issue per reply: Start your comment with a brief issue title. Then explain:
1- What is the issue? (e.g., “The new skill gem system feels too restrictive.”)
2- Why is it a problem? (Describe how it impacts gameplay, fun, or freedom.)
3- Suggested fix or idea: (Offer a clear, constructive solution or improvement.)

• Be concise and specific: Keep each issue explanation short (3–5 sentences) and focused. This helps everyone read and understand easily.

• Respect fellow players: Use polite, clear language. This thread is a positive call for change, not a flame war. Avoid personal attacks or profanity.

• Avoid duplicates: Before posting, check if someone else already made the same point. If it exists, simply upvote or reply in agreement instead of reposting.
This helps keep feedback organized.

• Stay on topic: Focus on PoE2 design and gameplay (skills, trees, items, UI, content, etc.). Off-topic posts or praise should be saved for elsewhere.

• No ranting: Stick to the facts and constructive criticism. We want GGG to see organized, actionable feedback – ranty or angry posts drown out our message.

Our Goal

The purpose of this megathread is to gather focused, easy-to-read, community-driven insights for Grinding Gear Games (GGG). By clearly listing our top concerns, we demonstrate that the player base is united and invested in PoE2’s success. We all love this game and want it to thrive; pointing out issues isn’t about blame, it’s about helping GGG understand what isn’t working so it can be fixed. A well-structured thread shows GGG that we care deeply and are ready to give constructive feedback – not just complain.

• Point out what matters: Whether it’s the passive/ascendancy trees feeling too linear, gem progression being punishing, slow early-game pacing, or any other concern, spell it out.

• Offer solutions: GGG listens best when we suggest realistic fixes – a tweak to the skill tree, adding back vendor options, QoL changes to movement or loot – that sort of thing.

How You Can Help

• Reply to show support: Even a short comment like “I support this thread!” or an agreement with an existing issue helps visibility. It shows the community is united.

• Bump wisely: use it on well-explained issues. That highlights the most important points.

• Share this thread: Post the link in other PoE2 discussions or on social media (Reddit, Twitter, Discord) so more players see it and add their voice. The more support we have, the harder it is to ignore.

• Keep it positive: Encourage fellow players to add constructive feedback. A chorus of clear, civil voices gets GGG’s attention much more than scattered complaints.

A Call to GGG

We trust Grinding Gear Games to make Path of Exile 2 the best game it can be. All we ask is transparency and communication. Please let us know what you’re working on, address these concerns openly, and involve the community in finding solutions. We have faith in the dev team’s skill and passion; together, we can make PoE2 feel as free and exciting as the game we fell in love with. Exiles, let's do this together. Share your concerns here, support each other’s ideas, and show GGG that an engaged community cares deeply about PoE2. Thank you for contributing – and thank you, GGG, for listening and continuing to communicate with us. The future of PoE2 depends on teamwork between developers and players. Let’s build it together.

Endgame map system feels restrictive and removes player agency

What’s the issue?

The current endgame mapping system in PoE2 doesn’t let players choose what kind of content they want to run. You’re forced to follow map paths and wait for random content nodes, instead of choosing your favorite layouts or farming styles.

Why is it a problem?

One of the things that made PoE1 great was the freedom to shape your gameplay — running the same layout, bossing, juicing, blight, etc. That freedom is gone in PoE2, and it makes the grind feel like a chore instead of something fun or rewarding.

Suggested fix:

Let players choose between “guided” and “freeform” mapping styles. Keep the current system for those who like it, but also allow traditional PoE1-style map crafting with scarabs, sextants, and full control — even if it comes at a higher cost. Give us options.

ill be honest while i usually support this i think there isnt something GGG can fix to make poe 2 good. . the entire direction and fundamental decisions about poe 2 are bad.. to fix something to make the game good you need to first ask what is good about he game?

then answer is Graphic, what else? probably nothing else.. . so then what is there even to fix? if they want to fix the gmae they basically keep the graphic delete the entire game and make something new using that graphic or give poe 1 visual update
there's no need for constructive feedback.

people have written 5 pages essays with 0 replies. unclear whether ggg reads or appreciates such. i for one cant be bothered reading.

1) if you (not the personal you) cannot see obvious issues with the game in its present state, there's no reason to believe any sort of feedback would lead to greatness in the title in the long run.

2) if you cannot also see the general sentiment towards the game, by both players and streamers and still come up with a response such as "so we just need to make the campaign more fun". i have very little desire to add to constructive feedback. at this juncture, i feel hurling insults is more appropriate even if i dont do it. we all know how protective mods are of those dear to them. dont hit the hand that feeds the mouth.
`Spent 2 mirrors on my build, but I'm only Level 98.` LOL
`From just quick sweep of your characters, toxic rain, golems .. sure, non meta... sure.` LOL
`What are divs?`

100%

and we told them towers are just bad game decision instead of changing how endgame works fundamentally they just made some changes to towers good changes ill admit but the dont fix the problems of why towers are bad they just make them alittle bit less bad..

and thats true for campain and act 3 and loot.. everything they "change" instead of changing what is bad fundamentally change it to something not bad.. they focus on making it just alittle bit less bad but still very bad

removing towers isn't going to fix much. waystones is a regression. its annoying, less fun and difficult to juice which means its even less fun.

again i agree it was only example how they are fixated on not changing stuff they are unwilling to move from their vision.. but if you go into my first comment i said what i think is the real true case. .

that aside from the graphic and visual there is not a single system/fundamental decision/direction or anything at all about this game that is good. . thats why i dont think poe 2 can be fixed it has to be remade. . because if you want to make poe 2 good you have to keep the graphic and delete and remake the rest or upgrade poe 1 visual but almost everyting in poe 2 is bad
Well Guys, we can at least try, i know GGG is not rearing us as much as we want, but maybe we can change this, lets just try and see what will happens, what do you guys think?
I feel as if they have removed the one thing that really made POE unique. The ability to mix and match gear and gems / supports.

This restrictive weapon design, and one gem of a kind thing, is EXACTLY NOT the cleverness and secret behind POE. In fact, it feels as if has completely removed any and all diversity from the game entirely.

I been mucking with my different warriors, and it just seems that no matter what i do, they're really all the same, cause they have to be. Wanted to muck with totems, but totems dont hold aggro. Wanted to much with bleed, but only one skill can support a 'somewhat' gauranteed bleed. And on and on...
GGG - Why you no?

ok.. ill play along but then i really want to ask you to name the stuff that are good in poe 2

because i can tell you that aside from visual every single thing is better in poe 1 than poe 2 direct comparison so then what is the point of poe 2?
