A Simple Poll - Exp Loss on Death
" 10 skill points matter to a lot of people, regardless of what you think is best for others. This has been explained over and over again, it has nothing to do with just the levels. Yeah, I know, "your build should be done by 90 bla bla bla" that's great, I don't care about that explanation. If skill points could all be acquired by 90 then there wouldn't be an issue, and the people who care about ladders and their ego could focus on 100 最後に CovidPatientZero#4772 が 2025/05/18 14:36:21 に編集

I understand why it's there, but I still would favour of it being removed. Why? Because it makes it easier to complete a character and move to the next one.

" Gear drops and currency is literally RNG. It's like playing a slot machine. No, it's not progress. When I say support, I'm referring to financial support. They will never get another penny from me so long as this is forced upon players. |

This thing needs to go. I don't have the mind anymore to waste an entire afternoon because something stupid happened with the game mechanics. |

" Yikes, man. [Removed by Support] If you want those skill points so badly, go earn them. You aren't locked out of them, but they aren't given to you for free, either. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the acquisition of the last few points requiring investment, dedication, and a certain level of mastery over the game. If you plan your build relying on the last 10 points, that's on you. If you play in a way that causes you to die a lot, that's on you. If you refuse to use Omen of Amelioration, that's on you. Stop crying already. It's working entirely as intended. Should not and will not be changed. Again, we are not removing the only competitive (yet entirely optional) aspect of the game just so you can steamroll to lvl 100 without effort. 最後に Markus_GGG#0000 が 2025/05/18 15:31:20 に編集

" Weither they have an rng aspect to them or not is in no way related to it being progress for your character. Your just trying to move the goal post because your argument is falling apart. If you run 10 maps, you keep the gear and currency you get no matter how many deaths. Ofc drops have an rng aspect to them, but its still progress you get and never lose. And I guarantee you that 99% of players who spend hours farming are farming for gear/currencies, NOT experience. Your just trying to make it sound like a bigger deal then it is so you can get away with cheap shots like "days of progress lost" when it is in reality just not true. Your farming for gear and currencies to improve your character power, because that is the overwhelming majority of where your power increases will come from. When you die you keep them. You only lose a miniscule amount of exp which is trivial after 90 anyway. So please stop complaining about pointless things, and if you refuse to do so then atleast stop exaggerating because all it accomplishes is that anyone who reads it invalidates anything else you write.
" Please read again what you wrote heh |

" You want a poll but don't even know what a poll is, yet you think you can have a say in game design 最後に Rabarbar_Lichy#7553 が 2025/05/18 16:19:04 に編集

" Leveling from 90-100 is reserved for the players that have alot of time to play and who are able to make decent builds so they dont die 5 times per map. It has always been like this, even in poe1. It gives you a trivial amount of character power and has no impact on your ability to clear the content in the game. The only reason you could be upset about this is that your ego cant handle it that some people can do it but not you. There is nothing wrong with the game having tiny aspects of it that arent meant for everyone to reach. Everything in every game shouldnt just be a participation trophy. You can do the majority of the game fairly easily, including leveling to 90. If you want to level past 90 all the way to 100 then it requires alot of time and your punished for playing bad so that theres a challenge to it.
" If players had an option to not deal with XP loss, the highest levels would still be reserved for players with the most time to play. This is a poor argument. Prestige and challenge would not be compromised, because there's pinnacle bosses and hardcore mode to strive for. This is the actual content to sate the hunger for "aspects not meant for everyone." Having hardcore-lite aspects integral to the lowest available difficulty for players... has consequences that everyone knows and can plainly see, but that your ilk stays in denial about. |
