" Dedication and investment to get those points consists of nothing but a huge time sink of repetitiveness. The mastery of the game you speak of would involve using a broken meta build with gear you have to trade for, since there is no mastery in rng gear drops and crafting. You really have no argument. The pro penalty crowd don't care about the skill points by their own admission, so there is no logical reason for you to insist everyone else should sink 1000 hours in to get them. You have no dog in the fight, you just can't stand the idea of other players not doing enough to earn those skills in your mind. Also it's neither a poll, neither representative of the community, just showing that a couple of people are still wasting time raging on the forum for something instead of trying to play the game. Maybe you're just waiting for PoE 1 league. I can't wait to see the casual zoomers go back to the game designed for them. |

Which I guess is fairly similar to how the OP started his "poll". If that is what you want then you are free to just not reply to or quote people who have different opinions then you. I think the game definitely has more pressing and fundamental issues, like lackluster item drops, no crafting, unexciting uniques, no sense of player power increasing throughout the WAY too long campaign, way too big zones, no meaningful way to build defenses, over reliance on 1 shot mechanics, slow combination builds vs light speed swarming monsters, ridiculous balance in builds & no build diversity, dead trade site, trials are horribly unfun... etc etc etc
but yes +1, this one is bad too. Although removing the XP loss from pinnacle bosses is a huge positive and something I always wished they would have applied to POE1, it's such a deterrent to trying hard content. |
