A Simple Poll - Exp Loss on Death

I'm 99 and if there was no exp loss I would play like a noob and the game wouldn't be challenging.

WHY DO A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE LOOKING FOR EASINESS??

Meta Builds wipe out maps and bosses. It's already too easy. Remove exp loss and remove an epic challenge you can challenge yourself with.

Don't want that challenge? Then don't aim for level 100. So players have the choice already.

Feels like stealing? It's not. It's like restarting from a checkpoint and redo the job.

I just hope they keep improving visibility, especially the blood / poison patches on the ground.

Nobody wants hardcore mode to go away. Isn't that challenging?

Too challenging for them. They want to feel good by being elitists but not actually do the most challenging thing when they "want it to be challenging"
It's another kind of challenge and I don't see what XP Loss has to do with it.

It has to do with the concern you listed - that the game wouldn't be challenging & you could play like a noob. The concern doesn't hold up because HC exists.
Reaching level 100 in hardcore is the most formidable exploit a player can achieve, it doesn't mean we can't a have the opportunity to challenge ourselves in softcore.

It's not all or nothing.

It would be if they remove exp loss.
The game offers a variety of ways to play.
I don't see HOW removing exp loss would solve anything.

Like, I am making a reroll, I won't care about exp loss because I'm not aiming level 100 with it.

Nobody puts a gun to the players head telling them 'you have to reach level 100'
If you want to, then take the challenge and it's rules.

If it's removed, no more challenge, and it's just about time = where would be the satisfaction then?

Xp loss should move to Hard mode bro. There you can find all satifaction you searching for....

In normal mode xp loss should go away!

There are enough modes as there are. How many more modes are we planning to do ? 5 - 6 - 10 ?

No. Come one, this is really not serious.

It's up to the players mindset to deal with the game as it's designed. Or just leave it.

Why is this such an issue to lose exp on death? I know it's frustrating and all but that's part of the experience.

None of the responses I read convince me AT ALL. I have the sensation it's just some people expressing their frustration ant that's it.

POE 2 is not a phone or a mainstream game and it shouldn't be.



PS: There is an omen that helps an it's just a small investment
"The game has no challenge without XP loss" but also "hardcore is different, I just want an opportunity for softcore challenge" but also "I just reroll, I'm not aiming for level 100."

Why are they always like this?
