Delirium Fog - Still Atrocious
I don't understand why you would insist on plaguing my game with this graphical abomination. The fact the only way to truly juice maps is via Distilled Emotions means 100% of my maps are in a washed out, grey foggy mess, which then as a warr is exacerbated even more by me using Overwhelming Presence.
So if it wasn't enough every map becomes a disgusting grey, monotone mess...it also looks even worse with the OP aura. Every mob becomes a pixelated grey blob rushing at me. For the love of everything holy, if you are going to make Distilled Emotions the only way to juice maps, please please please remove the fog effect. It ruins every single map. Lush jungles, deserts, lava filled caverns...they all become a monotone, washed out disaster that makes me feel like I'm color blind while playing the same exact map over and over despite not. There is zero logical reason you would want to completely ruin the art done of every map by covering it in this absurd malaise. (Overwhelming Presence graphic change also please, let me toggle it off or something, it's ridiculous looking and it makes things hard to see in general and nearly impossible with Delirium fog) 最後にスレッドがバンプされた時間 時刻 2025/05/25 22:07:15

Yea it's horrible. The fog ruins every map and makes it impossible to appreciate the game's graphics (which are amazing, underneath the fog). It's really a shame that this mechanic is implemented and players are so heavily incentivized to use it. Whenever I play a map without delirium fog, the overall experience is so much better. I really wish they'd just outright remove the fog because it also makes it more difficult for peoples' computers to render the map without framerate issues.
There are so many downsides to delirium fog, and not a single upside. |

Completely agree with everything that was said. It's just extremely obnoxious. Visual clarity in the game is already bad and the fog makes it even worst

Yea, i dunno. The thing is, as mentioned above, the game itself is just seriously visually a cluster fuck. Aside from the beautiful graphics you can see, most of the time (in combat), you 'cant' see shit.
I'm not sure if the fog alone is an issue, so much as just 'everything' combined. I really feel like they should give us an option to reduce effect transparency, effect particle count, and ofc, the physics. I know they are addressing this in an upcoming patch, but i personally believe they should give us full control. I do recall many years ago, Chris Wilson straight up saying in reply to 'give us an option to control the bloom' that he would not do so, because streamers streams would look bad with low settings etc... LOL! Skewed Priorities i guess... Eventually, we got that bloom control slider, but never a true 'disabled' option. GGG - Why you no? 最後に JoannaDark#6252 が 2025/05/24 18:55:32 に編集

" I wholeheartedly and respectfully disagree. The fog alone is definitely the issue for me. Playing maps without the fog is almost quite literally like going from greyscale to full vibrant color. On 4k without delirium fog, the game actually looks stunning. With the fog, it looks downright ugly. Edit: Imagine being a streamer who's always running maps with delirium on them. Someone watching your stream sees what POE 2 looks like for the first time, and their first impression is going to be much worse as opposed seeing what the game looks like without the fog. If anything, delirium fog is negatively impacting how the game is being showcased by streamers and steering away potentially new players who don't want to play an ugly game that almost always appears to be in greyscale mode. 最後に LargeHairyMan#4219 が 2025/05/24 19:13:11 に編集

I'm not sure why they've been so stubborn on this mechanic, even going back to PoE1. I don't think I've found a single human being on the planet that has ever had anything positive to say about Delirium fog. It lowers performance, it mutes the games graphical fidelity, it turns what is generally a bit of a cluster**** into even more of one as not only can you not see clearly, but mobs of course move even faster than they already did.
It's truly a baffling hill to die on for something I don't think anyone has anything positive to say about after seeing it more than 1 time. I'd love to get a pros/cons list from someone who enjoys it. 最後に Seanprice798#2395 が 2025/05/25 15:46:05 に編集

" Absolutely true, however, i was being a little more general and focusing on the bigger problem for many. That said, your point is completely valid, and the game does indeed look really good, except for when the screen just turns to mashed potatos, errr i mean particles. And unfortunately, thats for the majority of all combat. At some point, too much is too much, and for many of us, it seems like GGG found that spot. I honestly cant see a fucking thing once i have all my totems up and hammerin, not a damn thing. OFC, its not just the totems, its the totems, the minions, the enemies, all casting their spells, ground fx, etc. all that mashed up thick. then add some fog that washes most of out even more and yea. :D Good times. GGG - Why you no? 最後に JoannaDark#6252 が 2025/05/25 15:50:48 に編集

Please remove the fog and delirium soundtrack from distilled maps. IT RUINS THE GAME. Its okay to have them during a delirium encounter, but not on every map we run 100% of the time

If the grey fog only showed around the edges of the screen would be better.
