Delirium Fog - Still Atrocious

Always has been, always will be.

This is how delirium is in POE 1 since it was invented in 2020. Every single map in POE 1 is run 100% delirious, same music for the last 5 years. Same visuals last 5 years. Same monsters last 5 years.

Do not expect "meaningful" change. As long as delirium exists you put it on your map, this is for POE 1, POE 2, POE 3, and every other POE ever made after this point.

Deli = required

Deli = looks/sounds bad

Fun = Min Maxing rewards.

Anything but min maxing rewards can [Removed by Support] of my game, because i'm not having fun if i'm not min maxing my rewards.

I think the landscape is a bit different now. POE 2's new graphics engine is incredible and the delirium fog isn't allowing the game's visuals to be showcased to their fullest.

On regular maps that have a delirium mirror, it eventually dissipates and you can appreciate how beautiful the game looks. Instilling maps, however, forces the game into perpetual ugly mode. I think the devs have more incentive to change that this time around, if I were in their shoes and I created a masterpiece of a graphics engine, I wouldn't want it to be dulled out by an unneeded visual effect (that no one liked to begin with).

I truly hope that this will be the case, it would be a huge win for everyone involved. And our GPUs will thank us.
+1
+1 they need to tone it down

If the grey fog only showed around the edges of the screen would be better.

Best solution ever!

Make it so GGG!
Crazy. I complained so much about this in 1.0. Saw patch notes and decided not to play 2.0 thinking they overdid it in nerfing and destroying viable builds.

But the one thing I assumed got fixed and they delivered to their player base a QOL update of eliminating or modifying the depressing delirium fog.

How is this still a thing?

Who wants to stare at bleak Grey nothingness and hear asylum music 3-5 hours per day when you grind?

Madness, but so are a lot of their recent decisions.

I'd never thought of it before, but perhaps the GGG Devs are 100% Delirious.
GGG - Why you no?

The exodus of the game wasn't enough hint for GGG apparently. Theres almost just bots playing right now, very few people "enjoying" POE 2.
People have been telling them since it was introduced in PoE1. It is obnoxious, like every other layered effect they add to every other ability and zone.

For some reason they seem to think massive flashy layering effects adds difficulty; Yes, when you can't see anything you sometimes die... so fun.

If they ever actually played the game they would understand, they clearly don't. 'testing' a spell or fighting a mob in a clear room isn't testing the game.

Same as the fire/ice patches, they are horrible and hide effects (and hurt my eyes) so what did they do? Made them MORE animated and brighter. It's sad.
