Exp loss on death is too punitive.

Ok i dont normally reply to posts especially to burner accounts.

Didnt you uninstall the game, why are posting on a forum for a game you no longer play, thats just weird bro.

Infernalist minion build about 10 div gear, 2 unique items, so what, are you trying to silence others for gearing properly.

Move on bro, or post with your real account.

If im GGG and see your type of account, i would just ignore you as they are doing.

Funny hearing you go off about my account when you know absolutely nothing about what happened. My account name just changed one day to this when I logged in. My character names were changed too. I creating 2 threads asking GGG to fix it, since there's no option for me to change it back, and they told me to email support which was 2 months ago with no response, so I'm stuck with this account name.

Maybe you should educate yourself on a situation before you starting yapping about something you know nothing about.

And regarding your gear and class, thanks for proving my point. You are using an easy build with ES and paid several divs for gear that you wouldn't be able to craft. Try playing Merc or warrior without ES then get back to me

fanboy supporter badges

When I was broke, I played PoE because it was free. Once I started making money, I supported PoE so other broke people could play it.

I think it's a great game, with an even greater monetization strategy. If that makes me a fanboy, great.

I also think it's a foolish plan to try to get to level 100 in an early access game unless you're extremely good at it. Get to 94, then roll another character.

NO ONE has gotten to level 100 in HCSSF with Smith of Kitava.

It's an early access game, not a polished balanced final product.

Final thought: you sound like a weak player when you throw insults around. Spend more time reading the Wiki, using Path of Building, and checking out poe2.ninja. That will help you die less.

The trick is to not die

Then play hardcore.

I think a lot of players with your attitude will level up or leave the game once GGG starts adding difficulty. Right now, the game is easy but tedious, and a lot of people with no supporter badges come to this forum and say the game is hard.

You have that twisted. The point isn't "good at the game," it's "GGG designs games to maximize income, not player numbers."

I never said the game is hard. You just admitted yourself the game is tedious, that's the problem. I enjoy souls games for their difficulty and would have no problem if POE2 incorporated meaningful challenges, not fake challenges using over punishing penalties and time sinks.

If GGG actually added difficulty I wouldn't have a problem. Losing my XP with no option to recover it is not difficulty, it's pure tediousness. Elden Ring is much more difficult than POE2 and yet I can still recover my runes, while at the same time still enjoy the challenge of taking risks or playing aggressively without having to worry about losing hours of progress. Currently with POE2, my only option to avoid losing those hours is using one of the handful of op builds on an op class or playing an extremely boring cautious defensive playstyle that might still result in death if I get swarmed or mis time a single dodge roll. That's not challenging or engaging, it's just frustrating and not fun.

I think you're way too invested in this thread for someone who has already uninstalled the game. You haven't done anything but complain--and you ignored my last post. You can either take your account off private and post your ninja and we can go over how to improve your survivability, or you can go put a +1 in the megathread for EXP loss whiners and move on.

Theory crafting build improvements is the usual tactic deployed to distract from the discussion. XP loss is about the cost of dying. Trying to strengthen builds to reduce dying is a whole different topic.

What is distracting? If dying is expensive, stop dying. Problem solved.

Ohh, I was distracting him from complaining more instead of just thinking about how to overcome a challenge in the game!
level should be unlimited with crazy xp curve so ppl quit crying about not being able to reach max level. Xp loss is fine, if you can't reach lvl 90 it's a skill issue. All content is doable and all build can be done around lvl 90, if you don't have fun anymore at lvl 95 this wont magicaly change reaching lvl 100.

I said it many times in previous posts.

- KEEP XP LOSS
(I'm 99 and I died 8 or 10 times 98 to 99, still made it, with omen it works. Now I have to play white maps only and treat my char as HC if I want to reach level 100. XP Loss makes you adapt, look for solutions. It's good. Frustrating when wipe but so much more rewarding when success)

- BUT

Instead of losing 2 bars (10%XP) LOSE 1 BAR (5% exp)

With Omen instead of losing half a bar, lose a quarter of a bar.

Simple, easy, everybody is happy-ish.
