why does ggg seem to hate melee builds?
No matter how I try, in my opinion, PoE is an example of, what is called in my language "POG - Programação Orientada a Gambiarras" or "Spaghetti Code" in English. In the sense that they really do a good thing with leagues, etc. But the complexity of the game is so deep and complex, that the company can't (greed) or don't (lack of money) change it in a more... "cohesive/organic" (i.e. enough investment and time to see the whole thing, making the game fun for all playstyles), therefore turning a good idea, boring as hell, because you need to strictly follow 2 or 3 builds.
P.S.: For PoE fans, etc. don't get upset or offended, it's just my noob perspective of the game. Also, please, ignore my grammatical errors. |

I bet the preferred way to play the game for 99% of the devs in GGG is energy shield combined with ranged attack
They make melee good enough but that's it really, you can tell that they have a preference bcs high movement speed + ranged attacks = you're a GOD Which is unfortunate really, but i don't think that they're going to rethink mods, monster density, animations speed, league mechanics and defenses just to make melee better and more appealing, in their eyes melee is at a good spot and that's it 最後に Vyend#2601 が 2025/06/15 22:10:05 に編集

it seems that most of the forums from steam to here are full of complaints about melee added with complaints on armor and evade, but yet there seems to be an elite few that seem to have literally no problems in an unfinished game that is incomplete as these same people see ggg putting out hot fixes and addressing some problems, but then act like those of us that see problems are just complainers and whinners. why?.......I have well over 1k hours in this game alone I built a smith purposely got my resists well over max my chaos bout 72 to 76% using 3 charm belt to further boost whatever I needed help in whether freeze, stun, or maybe a little extra chaos resistance, or ignite, or shock immunity, had at least 82% armor till stuff started to proc, was using resonating shield which as most may know is a constant block/damage ability to break armor and sunder to tear bosses up and I'm not sure where my evade was as I shifted from straight evade to evade/armor and some es cause straight evade is completely useless if ya ask me, because straight es is by far more superior than armor and evade combined, seeing as in well over 1k hours I have played many builds and found out for myself. and with all the resists I had (elemental) that is, all were over 100% just to be sure I had enough lol I know it doesn't do anything beyond max but I had it, and white mobs scared me more than lousy map bosses because that is what was destroying me like all my stats were completely trash, as a lvl 86 that was doing trash blue lvl 9 and 10 maps but if i could fight just straight bosses in 12 to 14 maps i would be good. i try to juice a map and see maps has deadly map boss im like this may be hard but im gonna do it, then see the deadly totem encounters where ya get confined to the little light area as the rest of the map is dark and i know i was going to be fighting mostly white or blue mobs im like nope scrap
