More Content Will Never Fix This Game.
End game is not the issue. And it never was. Path of Exile 2 has a fundamental problem and it is time to address it while we are in EA.
1. Defense Mechanics (Armor/Health/Evasion) Feel Broken: Many players report feeling squishy and easily one-shot, regardless of investment in defenses. The current scaling often renders these stats ineffective, especially in later stages. 2. Over-tuned White Mobs in Maps: Basic enemies in maps frequently feel disproportionately powerful, turning what should be routine clearing into frustrating encounters. 3. Loot is Unrewarding & Gambling is a Trap: The thrill of finding meaningful upgrades is often absent. Loot drops feel largely useless, and the reliance on gambling mechanics for progression is a pain point. The idea of a refreshing shop, perhaps hourly, is a common desire to alleviate this. 4. The Trading Economy is a Core Flaw: The current trade system is widely criticized for being cumbersome, rife with issues like RMT, and actively detracting from the gameplay experience. A game should stand on its own, not be worse because of how trading is implemented. 5. SSF Needs a Scalable Mode: For those who prefer to play Solo Self-Found, the mode should offer scalable difficulty options with commensurate rewards, providing a truly fulfilling progression path independent of trade. 6. Limited Skill Accessibility for Weapons: Players want more flexibility! Why can't more skills be genuinely accessible and viable across a wider range of weapon types? This would open up build diversity dramatically. 7. The Skill Tree Needs a Major Rework: Many nodes are considered useless or underwhelming, leading to repetitive and uninspired pathing. There's even a strong argument for integrating some unique item effects directly into the skill tree to make choices more impactful. 8. Weapon Skills Deserve Their Own Skill Gems: Imagine the possibilities if unique weapon attacks or abilities were their own skill gems! This could add incredible depth and customization. 9. STOP NERFING EVERYTHING IN A CO-OP GAME! This is a shared experience. If players find strong builds, who cares? Not everyone wants to play a hyper-optimized, brain-dead meta. Better In-Game Stats & PoB Integration: The game desperately needs more transparent and comprehensive in-game stat displays. And for an ARPG of this complexity, direct integration with tools like Path of Building (PoB) would be a game-changer, allowing players to theorycraft and optimize without jumping through hoops. You have all these different maps and bosses but only 1 percent of the player base can experience them. What's the point of wasting artists and developers time if not most players can experience them? " This is my #1 complaint about how they've handled POE2. Instead of giving us more content, or buffing things to make more cool builds, they've decided to nerf everything into the ground every patch (and sometimes mid-season nerfs bricking entire builds). This doesn't help the game right now. Also, I'm playing POE1 3.26 right now, and I love that I can just look up a youtube video and pick a league starter and go. When you nerf EVERYTHING like they did at the start of POE2 0.2, it's not fun. It's just frustrating to have no guide to help you play casually. |

" Agree with everything except this. This is a horrible suggestion. Weapons SHOULD be different, if anything they should be MORE restrictive NOT LESS. I dont want my weapon to just be a stat stick. Make wielding a Sword and not and Axe MEAN SOMETHING. |
