Poe hasn't had numbers this bad since 10 years ago. Yet you're suggesting that PoE needs the same poison that killed Diablo 4.

You're delusional if you think that steam accounts for more than 1-2% of D4 playerbase. Vast majority plays on consoles and Battle.net client. Especially considering the fact you can't link steam and battle.net account to transfer license and steam release happened almost three months after the 'normal' release.

Also, PoE has 8k players as 24hr peak vs 228k all-time peak (D4 has 5k vs 55k which shows far better retention).

Same logic applies to PoE which also has separate launcher. Yet people here have been doomposting that PoE definitely is going to die this time for the past 10 years and all the player charts have been steadily rising. How can you claim Diablo 4 is doing well if they hide the real numbers then? Did you go in Blizzard office and ask them?

Don't use that excuse and then go say that this game is definitely going to die because it doesn't give you a baby mode difficulty.

Except that it's different percentage. PoE steam numbers are half of its playerbase (maybe even more) and you know that but still try to downplay it like it's same 1-2% as D4.

It's common sense.
D4 sold 12M copies in the first month alone but let's pretend that was all they sold until steam release. 55k steam peak out of 12M copies is 0.4% of playerbase
PoE2 preorders were over 1M (but lets be generous and say it was 1.2M), steam peak was 578k. That's at least 48% of players being on steam.


If you start adding up additional sales, the steam number for D4 becomes even tinier and thus not representing playerbase at all while PoE numbers stay fairly relevant to being close to half of the playerbase.

At this point we all understand that poe2 is not a good arpg. It lacks any kind of depth, terrible loot and terrible uniques.
They couldn't even invent a new item slot type, it's just reused poe1 inventory with same slots.
So yea diablo 4(even though i didn't play it and never will) is a better game.
Even the mobile slop i tried called Torchlight Infinite has x50 depth than poe2 and even has(wowee) an auction house.
If a mobile game can have an auction house, why can't poe?
