The game is in a good state actually

this has been a pretty hard ratio. 76 replies 30 are you disagreeing with people telling you why we disagree so for every 1 of you that enjoy the current state of things there are 35ish of us that don't. We get it, YOU like it. We got that from the OP.
hes trolling
I feel good actually. I was complaining before. But im in the game for 2 weeks now. And things seem to become satisfying, got a perfect and 3 greater jewels, 2 divines...yes im still looking for really good gear, but all in all its feeling decent. I mean i open yellow chests with NOTHING in it, i have rares dropping 20 gold. Instead of ranting i proceeded and got fortunate. Think, thats the way it should be.

"it didn't seem like an issue to me" is such a Johnathon reply, as if your own subjective experience is enough to tell whether or not something is a problem. Theres a whole host of people saying it WAS a problem for them.. Are they all lying???

This exactly. I'm sick of these white knights.

I swear they are the exact same people i was argueing with back in Star Wars Galaxies just before that game dropped a game ending patch. Was a bunch of us saying how bad the change would be and it was...but there was a contingent of white knights doing exactly what some are here - defending these bad changes.

I'm not saying all the changes are bad...but 0.2.0 was definately not a good move from the devs. You only have to look at how many patches they have had to do so far to fix it...and also the amount of streamers that have gone already...when they normally hang around much longer. (LE hasn't helped in that regard to i guess)
I jsut died to a single portal tier 1 map in my first courrupted nexus because the monsters and effects were invisible. Uninstalling this ass game.
One cannot help but wonder how such a lust for loot can affect a persons mind. Although these exiles appear to be our salvation, it would not take much for them to turn on us as easily as they fight gods and demons.
If they are too strong you are to weak.

SSF should be possible to play without having to grind 10h a day to progress just a tiny bit over 1 week.

I already replied to something similar but whatever.

How long do you think you should be required to grind to get an upgrade?
Because 10h a day for a week will get you a long long way, it wont be tiny progress.

Like how long do you think an average character should take from lvl 1 to nearly bis lvl 90+?

Idk what's the average played for people but it's probably 70-150h per character, depending on many factors. You don't need to finish your character in 7-15 days.

If you actually played for 100 hours you would get far regardless if it takes you a week or a month. I get that you want every play session to feel impactful and that you feel like you've progressed. But is that actually good?

You don't expect to see a full 6-pack after doing abs for 2 weeks. And I know this is a game. But fun doesn't have to equal fast progress. If you are consistent, you will make progress.

I think i didn't put the emphasis at how my expierence was. I was still in curel gear 30+h after leaving the campain without a single small upgrade. And my gear was not that great in the first place. After 30+ hour I would like to be at a state where I can farm splinters etc and at least attempt some bosses. I do not want to beat everything in that time frame. My expierence was beat cruel grind your way to t15 without any upgrades besides level and one perfect jewelers and that's it. This is to little for 30+h of playtime. If it takes you 30+ h to make the 0 progress comparte to what you got in 20-30h playing the campaign before the nerfs its to slow for my taste. My char has a 100+ hours and all I have done so far is beat an Audience with the king once. After switching to trade (in one day compared to a week witghout nothing)

People have other responsibilities besides grinding 10h a day 7 days a week in a game just to be allowed to try reaching new content.

Progress should also not spike. Like it currently does when you trade for gear. Eg. farm maps get nothing. Trade gear. Beat arbiter t4.

I don't want to be that guy but play something else then? There are games that are better at that than PoE 2. I don't understand staying and complaining about something when other options are available.

Does PoE 2 really need to be like every other arpg on the market?

Nice way of elitism. I'm currently unable to work and play a lot of poe2. I had a very bad experience regarding progressing because I chose not to go the boring super broken way and instead enjoyed what the game had to offer mechanic wise.

Your response go play something else. I don't think you are trying to see my point at all and instead look at your own experience which might differ strongly from my experience.

1 ex in 7 maps and a few yellow items you can sell for Gold or disenchant into regal shards should be justified for 7 t15 ~1h of gameplay? A map takes me 10-12 minutes if it has an expedition and Ritual in it (which i mostly ran so far) and my experience was horrible. I had no loot filter active and all I saw where blues I couldn't use orbs on because I had none and whites I also had no use for for 99.99% of my time. If this is your definition of engagement and fun I don't know.
I had fun with my build until I noticed I can not get it to work due to late game scaling issues. I beat content day 1 people where crying about and had fun. Since I saw progress. Which then stopped completely for a whole week after reaching maps day 3. No improvement. Just running maps over and over again without anything in return except the occasional atlas points and lvl if I didn't die to random one shots to often due to not being able to get anywhere close to being res capped.

The campaign was fine. That's why I have 2 lvl 80+ chars now one hc ssf char in act 2 and currently lvl a lich. Because I can progress. Mapping is a chore for far below minimal wage in comparison to campaign. This is "MY PERSONAl EXPERIENCE" I don't know what else to say about that. Yes you can progress faster and get upgrades faster because you can clear maps in 2min with a broken ls or serpant spear oneshot build. But this is not what this game feels like its capable of.

I don't want to trade for gear I wouldn't have access to if I don't trade, mindlessly hold one button down clear anything and basically play a slot machine. But this is the only way to make progress in a reasonable amount of time.

Even player playing this game in that way are complaining it is to slow. And for me it is compared to 0.1. How long would you like a casual player to need to reach even t1 pinacle bosses 1 week? 1month? 4months? I read people having problems with bosses I deem easy with different classes and builds. They can't progress and are frustrated and what do you think happens when they reach maps and get the same experience? They will leave. And if a live service game cant hold a player base it will sooner or later disappear. ARPG's trigger the reward system in your brain and I'm getting none of that at all in its current state. Yeah cool let me beat the same boss with the same gear in the same time for the 50th time and get nothing back for it. Not even a chance of new gear in form of currency which bricks again anyway. No let me get the same exact useless lvl 5 unique for the 5th time I can disenchant into another chance shard instead. And ah here are some ilvl. 67 whites and blues in a t15 map as a reward for your time. What are you complaining for you got 2 rare items with light radius armor, 7% fire res, 20 int and 30% increased armour. You can disenchant into regal shards. So you can attempt one regal try in 40 minutes when you get anther 4 of those yellows you can disenchant to get 1 regal. And hey maybe if you are lucky you will get 1 exalt you can slam on it too.

I'm not sure if I'm on the unlucky side when it comes to drops but if I'm not

The general gameplay is fun otherwise I would have stopped playing a while ago.

I like current pace and in my vision not everyone need to achieve pinnacles, making campaign fun and challenging is what can provide casuals fun. You can have a great fight with Count Geonor in act 1. The campaign should be the game too, not only a tutorial, so I like the current direction.
People plays for different reasons, I don't play POE to endless farm currency. everytime I achieve good gear in POE 1 I quit, for example in settlers I farmed a good sword for LS, enchanted and quited after that.
