This is why I think the compromise should at least be move the XP loss to start @ 90.
Most people can start to farm things fairly well in 80s and it still takes a good effort to get to 90 minus the hell of XP loss. If the cheeseball death tactics didnt exist in this game I'd be totally fine with XP loss but the way deaths are handed out in a digital way, your dead (no healing flask necessary) XP loss has no business here. And let's not forget how the Omen of Resurgence does not work whatsoever. I thought GGG actually was cool when I saw these. I'm not even suggesting it be removed completely. Im just saying some of my deaths have been janky as hell! I did hit lvl 94 last night. Make 6% exp. Lose 3, buy Omen. This happens a multitude of times.
Mostly due to unseen ground effects. Ive previously noted a couple. Heres 2 more, trash mobs throw out 5 bombs in literally not where you were standing, but where you are running toward. I stop to do inventory management. And dead. Keep in mind I have notseen these enemies yet, they are off screen. Fungus enemies in sulphuric minds throw out some junk on the ground. There is so much literal shit and enemies on the ground, our poor human senses just cant sort all the trash going on. Is there a break, no, there is a chain explosion that most certainly nails your coffin shut. W/e lose 3% exp. Buy another omen. Skip boss bc f his one shot mechanic that I dont even want to guess will probably happen. Point being, if I skip bosses, in a game thats supposed to be about bosses. Make the death feel fair and earned, only the exp penalty can be justified. Instead of - Oh, you picked a melee class - F YOU!

Getting 1 more skill point will not stop them from dying. And difficulty has more than just enemy level on its side. Know what mods a build can handle or suffer the consequences.
