The real problem of XP LOSS.

Reaching level 90 is hilariously easy. And going from 90-100 is aprox a 5% power increase. Do you need that 5% power to play the rest of the game? No.


You just made an argument for why losing XP on death is pointless without even knowing it. Especially a 10% XP loss after lvl 90 when it's already a huge grind to gain XP.

Omen is a workaround of a bad mechanic that requires me to spend currency. By suggesting an omen you are admitting that 10% is overkill. Even 2.5% is ridiculous in the 90s, unless I can actually recover my XP on my body

You guys are in your own little world. I've dismantled your arguments for XP penalty several times and you flat out ignore it while just trying to attack the low hanging fruit.

And no it doesn't eliminate glass cannon builds, it encourages glass cannons that clear the screen before getting hit. It encourages players to not engage with enemies because unless you have one of the few classes that can invest in high ES, defense just doesn't work well at all.


No I didnt. You cant just make up your own facts to try and fit your narrative.
Exp loss on death is a non issue unless you literally die two times per map.

Your argument doesnt work, because the reality is that all the popular builds do build defense because it is the correct way to play the game and because if you dont you will die and the game will punish you. Mechanic working as intended.

Pot meet kettle. I've logically explained why XP penalty doesn't work with the current game balance, I've even logically laid out reasons why recoverable XP is a good compromise. You haven't engaged with any of my ideas

Assertions, more assertions. Further refusal to improve even when knowing nothing will change. We get careless sometimes, and there omen's help. And omen's are dirt cheap. So dirt cheap that I think they should be 1 divine each. Guess what, I'd still buy them. 10% xp is a lot, especially at high levels, and that's a VERY GOOD THING. embrace the pain. Now go fix your game / build whatever.

What? I'm not the one who put the exp penalty into the game. I'm not the one who "cooked" this meal, the meal is prepared by the devs. And players do not like it, so they are giving feedback. Checkmate.

No matter which way you look at it from it isn't the player's fault that they feel horrible when they lose hours of exp, its the game being bad. People already don't want to die in games, they already want to get stronger and make good builds. That's the whole point of an arpg? The Power Fantasy? Which is mysteriously missing from PoE 2.
