The real problem of XP LOSS.
Losing experience is the best thing about this game. I really dislike casual games and casual players.
When I look at a level 95+ player, I realize that this is not just a farmer, but a player who is able to think with his head and this commands respect. (well, only if he doesn't use a thunder spear in the build, because even a monkey can take level 96 with a thunder spear) 最後に Ярри#5910 が 2025/05/07 3:52:54 に編集

" Actually i have a millions frogs in my pocket bro. Becouse that is what the Company treated us who don't like xp loss the way that Devs serve it. Like frogs and even worse. Million people is WE. If you are of those that use WE and like xp loss then you are 1%. |

so smart .. how do you figure the majority dislike xp loss?
i mean i don't like xp loss either, which is why i try to not lose xp by fixing my build. and then after fixing, theres this feeling of satisfaction that build is fixed. it works now. no longer dying. just need to be careful with critical until i make a 100% effect boots with crit reduction. ah made one now, this feels good. ah meaningful progression. `Spent 2 mirrors on my build, but I'm only Level 98.` LOL
`From just quick sweep of your characters, toxic rain, golems .. sure, non meta... sure.` LOL `What are divs?` |

" I didn't said that i don't like it. I said i don't like the way Devs serve it in game. Poe2 is a new game and people awaits new things. They need to juice their fantasy more and make it more innovative. Copy paste isn't acceptable. |

" Because only 4 players in the whole season have reached level 100, and yet hundreds of thousands of players (the vast majority) have put the game down to play something else instead of sticking around to endure the grind. The patch with better loot gave them a 5 day tiny bump in players but without changing the greater pain points, it has gone back to bleeding thousands of players a day. |

People who are advocating for the XP loss system to stay are already a lost case, their minds have been abused so much that they felt GGG wiping their time is deserving.
Even in poe1, it is a clear problem when people set up "5-way system" just so they can level up to 100 from the 90s. " That you have to employ some outside 3rd party service just so you can save time better. In poe1, getting from 99-100 is like what, 1% per 3-4 maps? so it you just assume very efficient mapping, that's like 8mins per map, 24 mins for 1%, so approx 4 hours for 10% and you are okay with GGG really disrespecting you by wiping all that progress? Why do you hate yourself like this? If you play for 2 hours per day in theoretical max efficiency, that takes a fucking 80days, for 1 level..... and people think this is sane? AND THAT'S POE1 speed. it takes 3x longer for Poe2 mapping at least. so 12 hours of mapping time erased everytime you die, regardless if it's your effort or not and people say this is okay? They have no respect for their own time really. Is losing the loot not penalty enough? There is no achievement in reaching 100, it's just an endless grind, not some super skill super play, you want achievement there's always the "hardcore" mode. GGG disrespects your time because it's not their time, they don't play the game, and you swallow the abuse wholesale. Jonathan once said that he expects players just spend 1 month on a poe2, lmao, meanwhile he can't even tell you how much does he expect a campaign to last. Unless you are playing fervently everyday, you hardly progress on anything by 2-3 hours everyday. In case people forget, 80 days is 2.5 months lol, and that's only for lvl 99-100. And any dumbass who comes in and reply "but you dont need to reach 100!" has totally lost the plot, not even deserving a reply. you dont even see the problem how only a handful of people has reached 100, and all of them has to no-lifed it. Everything in poe2 is already slowed so much and now you even accept that GGG slaps you by removing your loot and your time because there's a off stray hit out of the screen or some ground unseen effects. " No your incorrect. If your level 90 then the player power you would get from the last 10 levels is incredibly minuscule. If you disagree then please provide an example of a build where your level 90 with all skill points unlocked but the last 10 skill points will provide a meaningful difference. When your at level 90 and have all the skill points from the campaign you have unlocked all the big impact nodes for your build and you usually end up deciding between a tiny amount of more energy shield or a small amount of damage upgrade or mana cost, etc. As an example the character Im currently playing is level 93. If I reach level 100 then the extra 7 skill points will give me approximately a 5% dps increase and 600 more energy shield. And that is with me wearing pretty good gear that its scaling off. The real "problem" with exp loss is that there is no problem. Its a mechanic working as intended, as it is in almost all games. Its there to punish bad gameplay and to force you to have to improve at the game. The only problem that actually exist is that the exp requirement to level past 90 is too high. 最後に Nyon#6673 が 2025/05/07 8:43:08 に編集

" You can plan for one shots by making a build that isnt dogshit, and not standing in fire. I havent once been one shot by anything in the game.
" Reaching level 90 is already basicly free. Pre level 90 the exp you lose from dying is the equivelant of clearing 2 monster packs. If your struggling to reach level 90 then your just dying way too often and you need to spend more time watching guides instead of complaining on forums.
" Yes your making alot of logical sense. GGG has just put this in the game to annoy the player base and intentionally make their game bad. And thats probably also why almost every single similar game to this has the same or similar mechanic. Im sure thats correct, all these big gaming companies have no clue what their doing and you know so much about game development that you can see that this has no purpose, couldnt possibly be that its there for a valid reason and your just clueless. |
