Player power is so high that it is ruining the game. 1-button screen clear is BORING.
" no, the minority is the Zoom crowd. Remember the vast majority ofpeopel that tried POE1 did not stick to it EXACLTY because of zoom. GGG was smart enough to notice is and understand it needs to control the loud, very loud zoom group, that is so small that cannot even be called a crowd. |

" You are absolutely right. Mechanics are designed for a clearspead and zoom-zoom, perhaps because these mechanics were ported-over from PoE 1, which has a stupid movement/action speed. I honestly believe they wanted to slow down PoE 2 a lot and this was also clearly said during interviews. But then you port-over mechanics as Breach, Delirium, Ritual and the whole design is kill or be killed within seconds. I would still say we need a soft-cap on dmg. No build should kill pinnacle bosses in seconds, no matter what is your investment. Just because I have 900hours in Need for Speed and I invested a lot, it doesn't mean my car goes 9999km/h. There needs to be a ceiling if the balance is lacking. I am all for powerful builds, but powerful meaning you kill the boss in about 45sec and you can survive even if you do mistakes. Current state of player power isn't a gameplay, it's a damn cookie clicker. |

+1 to wanting one shot screen clearing builds to die. They've said they still want the player to feel powerful but I think people hit the one shot phase too early. It is really boring. I want combos etc to be more impactful and punchy.
The game needs a lot of changes to realise their vision because the end game still stinks of poe1 and that does not blend well with what they want the combat to be imo. Meaningful combat is not one shotting a screen nor is it being one shot by perma homing hazards or ground effects. Meaningful combat should have back and forth not be a one shot kill or be killed shit fest. The buffs to loot are nice. I hope they balance loot and progression around ssf as trade is misery. I want to play the game not stare at a website and sit hoping someone responds to my whisper. |

I don't know why some ppl want other to get nerfs. Screen clearing is the point of an ARPG. You play to feel that you cheated the game and found something op. Not the say that slower build should not exist but fast build are what I play the game.

" that is not the focus.. the thing is.. we want the game to notice that the mechanics PUSH you into that while they promissed that would not be the case. The swarmy behavior of monsters create ascenario where this is the only effective form and that is BAD. |

Not only these builds feels like cheating and are boring AF, they always end up getting nerfed.
We're VERY VERY far from early ARPG paces, this genre was never about zooming through maps in minutes. If you think using Enigma/Teleport/LeapSlam/Whatever (that goes like 10 times faster than normal movement speed) is the vision of what movement should be in ARPG, your vision is flawed and belongs in arcade games. I like the slower meaningful combat but I think mapping takes too long. Maps are too big and the requirement to kill the (spread out) rares to complete the map sometimes takes 15 minutes or longer per map when you factor in all of the other stuff you do: rituals etc,.
I feel like I move at a snails pace in endgame which, imo, has nothing to do with combat and everything to do with the map completion requirement. |

" That is a completely valid critic. Maps design and density are too different from campaign. Maps should GUIDE you to the objective like in campaign. |

The problem is not fast or slow gameplay but (not) rewarding complexity.
More complex build and skill rotation should deal more damage, not vice versa. |
