A great majority of posters on this forum refuse to learn or put effort in, and instead use all of that time to rage and complain here as opposed to just taking advice on how to build a char and going from there. OP salutations for sticking to YOUR VISION. How YOU wanted to make your char. Game is fun when you hop on the Meta bandwagon, just dont try and make your own vision because you will suffer. In .3 I am sure they will nerf LS into yesterday and some other "single" ability will shine and become the new anchor for the new Meta. Problem with this game is the illusion of "massive choice"...oh yes it is there, but as is, you will suffer straying to do your own thing. I had a torrid time this league with Cold Sorceress. I picked a build (https://maxroll.gg/poe2/build-guides/cold-snap-frostbolt-stormweaver-leveling-guide) to go with, and it was a long, slow slog to level 77 before I just gave up. Firing snowballs so slow that you can outrun them, then clicking for very little damage. Terrible. Especially as trying to click on those snowballs with the chronic z-axis issues is, just, bad. The freeze from ice walls at least do a load of snap damage, but you get three walls, and you can't cast them at your feet so it's easy to get swarmed. And I had all 4 ascendancies thanks to a friend carrying me! I was about throw in the towel, but decided instead to re-roll flavour of the month Lightning Spear Amazon. I got to 77 in about a quarter of the time with clearly OP screen clear abilities. Aiming? What's that. I'm not dissing the guy who did that Sorc leveling guide. But when I look at his build, and similar ones for elec, they spend so long picking up attribute nodes to get to the interesting notables that I just reckon the sorceress tree is badly designed. Contrast that with a lightning spear build, e.g. https://maxroll.gg/poe2/build-guides/lightning-spear-amazon, and there's a lot more interesting bonuses going on. Also, +1 on the comments for Sekhema. I hate it. An hour is just too long to gamble on. And I don't think those that say it's about farming honour resistances get quite how ironic that is. Or find gear that will give me more than the 4k I currently have. I have tried to craft that many bases only to have it turn sub par to what I am weearing. My current chest is like 650 at my level. Havent seen anything that comes close. Wish I had a dollar for every time i spammed thorns or accuracy on my potential caster bases. I cannot target craft to get myself out of the rut. I cant progress further into more difficult mapping to get a chance at picking up better gear than what I am wearing. Probably could alleviate some of the issues by purchasing gear through trade, but its so poorly implemented that I am not interested in accessing external apps to make use of it. In game auction I could use. Tried respeccing to get more ES, but I lose in other areas, regen, regen delay, dps. It makes no difference. Im just stuck in this weird limbo where I log on grit my teeth, get the shits up after an hour or so and log off where I started. Back at the start of my level. Its pointless.
