Why did you stop playing the game?

The focus of my interest is, those who are still reading the forum but no longer playing with the game, why did you stop what the reason or reasons were?

To begin with my reasons:
1. The total punishment system
2. The trading system
3. The inevitable one -hitting death (After 1144 hours of playing time)

I stopped playing the game because of terrible server disconnect. The game gets more and more unplayable and in 2 month latest the game will be dead.

I checked my router connection, there is no problem, I can play any game via internet perfectly.

And GGG? What will you do about this?

You want us to play Last Epoch!
Because everything I do with my current characters will be made meaningless with the arrival of .3 and any future leagues.
I’ll just wait for 1.0 and be done.
I'm disgruntled with all of the same points, but honestly one of the big reasons I stopped playing is that it feels like they just aren't going to do anything about any of these 3 things. I don't feel particularly hopeful about these will be improved, based on anything they've said so far.

What's more, they're struggling to get base game content in... so these core aspects are probably not even on the table for discussion at this time. Pre-launch, they indicated that they were hoping to have the full release in 6 to 12 months - but at the current pace, a more realistic window is probably 2-3 years just for the rest of base game content (acts 4 through 6, 5 more classes & their weapons, the rest of the 3rd ascendancies, the additional ascendancy trial, etc.)
Why I stopped playing this game? Oh boy, where do I even begin:

Zero endgame content – unless your idea of fun is getting absolutely nothing for your effort.

Jonathan’s visionary approach™: Instead of buffing weak builds, they just nerf everything into oblivion. Even the weak stuff. Bold strategy.

It’s a one-weapon meta now. Everything else? Gutted, murdered, left in a ditch.

Magic Drop – completely disconnected from actual difficulty. Just stack it on gear and pray to RNGesus. Valuable loot is so rare it makes unicorns look overpopulated.

“Difficulty” now means mobs have a million HP and your damage feels like a wet noodle. Truly thrilling combat.

An endless parade of useless uniques and loot so broken it's practically a parody.

Trade system. No auction house, because apparently that would be “too abusable.” Instead, you spam whispers on a clunky website and hope someone, somewhere, answers. Feels modern and convenient – in a 2004 kind of way.

Crafting? Nah. We’ve got slot machines now. Burn currency, pull the lever, get trash. Repeat until mental collapse.

Mechanics ripped straight from POE1 – just without the systems that made them work. It’s like copying someone’s homework, but erasing all the correct answers first.

Disconnects, ping spikes, random crashes – the technical cherry on this flaming sundae.

And let’s be honest: the game is so raw, if it were a chicken, it’d still be clucking. Inside another chicken.

I’m honestly happy the player count is in the gutter now.
Funny how long it took people to finally drop this “masterpiece.”

Im planning to wait about 3 years to touch this game again. Enough time for GGG to make 0.5 patch.

For me it's just omens in SSF.
If they were more common, if I saw one whittling per weekend, or if I could improve my odds of getting them somehow I would play.

For the reasons you listed and also just overall unrewarding feeling. I also have a lack of optimism for this games future since all these things listed seem to be design choices due to vision.
1k hours here

Skill cost imbalance
Skill imbalance in general
Lack of build diversity
Only three hard but fair fun bosses (Zarokh, Count and arbiter)
Time to access ( i wanna farm arbiter for a weekend and not have to grind for 400 hours to do so)
Tedium
Lack of content
Lack of Skill support
Time to fun ratio
Too much gamble
Too much randomization
Bad boss mechanics design (nothing interactive just spam the screen full of garbage)
Bad enemy design (run at you but have a different skin)
Bad item design - why so many negative effects
Bad power scaling
No auction house or offline selling.
Better games to play.

And the biggest one - all my friends quit.

Cause I am disconnected every 3 min. Simply as that.
- Missing melee classes (marauder/duelist/shadow)
- Mapping is boring (just mowing down monsters/no meaningful combat)
- 95% of endgame bosses too easy (even with all modifiers)
- Generally not a lot to do in endgame
- Crafting still too slot machine-esque
