Player power is so high that it is ruining the game. 1-button screen clear is BORING.
" Because you can't balance a game for everyone. |

The possibility to 1 button screen clear & 1 taping bosses is not a bad thing in such games, it just has to cocme with a lot of effort being able to do so. ;)
Even farming red maps should take way more effort gear vise...1-taping such content even more. Currently we reach such 1-tap T15 power level very fast in POE2...Prety much all my character were able to ez farm T15 maps with 3-5 Div investment and mostly SSF.....It's the exact opposite of the campaign difficulty vise. GGG has to find the right balance here becasue endgame is to trivial atm....you can't even feel a difference between T11 maps and T15 maps difficulty vise. As soon as they do so and find the right mob scaling in endgame the 1-button screen clear problem will be solved naturaly. :) 最後に CroDanZ#1818 が 2025/06/03 16:39:37 に編集

I think this is the important part. I have played a lot of PoE so obviously my build is a bit better than the average player's likely is, but once I hit cruel and than maps, I just starting squashing everything. I didn't feel like I broke the game, I felt like I was just playing the game and that alone trivialized it. Though as I typed the cruel/endgame bit I am feeling a bit more hope as cruel is the point of the game where the game isn't actually complete yet. So there's hope that that progression will be smoothed out as the real game is put in place where cruel currently is. Than once that progression is smoothed out it can smoothed into endgame.
Edit: I'm at tier 10/11 I think and have yet to use trade. 最後に dustin1819#4812 が 2025/06/03 16:40:59 に編集

A lot of people seem to be misremembering what end-game farming was like in Diablo 2 - the game that GGG tries to borrow heavily from for PoE1/2, and the game people often parrot as the GOAT for an ARPG that PoE2 should be more like.
When you're even decently geared in D2, the game becomes a smash-fest to see how fast you can clear Meph, Chaos and Baal, or tele around LK to farm super chests. Rise and repeat. Baal Run 1 - 70 in an hour. When and if you decide to use D2 as an argument for "slow, methodical combat," you have no idea what you're talking about, or you simply just misremember it. I played D2R yesterday and made a fire trap assassin and blast Andariel down in 10 seconds at level 14 on Players 7 with literally 0 gear. Rinse and repeat until something cool drops. Remember the Hammerdin clearing all content in .02 seconds? Meteorb Sorcs? Frenzy Barb running around so fast the game glitches? Yeah nah. People seem to forget that 99% of Diablo 2 is that. Oh, and the 1% is getting rushed up to the point to do that stuff. If you go old-school style and do it all by yourself, the same rules still apply. You build in such a way that you can reliably farm act bosses as fast as possible. Does anyone remember Hellgate: London? The first person ARPG made by the OG devs of Diablo 2? Hey. guess what. Speed is the priority of that game too! If you say you want the game to be more like Diablo 2, you are actively wishing for a technically flawed game where speed is the ONLY thing that matters because that allows you to avoid all the technical shortcomings of the game. And right now, that's what you are all getting. LA/LS clear the screen instantly so that people can avoid dying to volatile plants, annoying ground degens and random slams from offscreen. Diablo 2's technical quirks are a result of the hardware and software limitations of the time. |

If they want screen smashing power, then the game needs to be balanced towards that. So more move speed, more chaining abilities for non-lightning builds, tougher enemies that can withstand the onslaught, etc
If they don't want it, they need to bring those superskills into line with everything else. |

" Well... technically yes, we are forced. Because after a point enemies and content are created for these type of players and builds. That is the "new entry level" |

Do you know what a grinding game is? Its core is all about repetition and continuity. Do you really want to keep playing like that? How long can you focus on just playing for hours? Wouldn't you prefer to play a proper souls-like game if you enjoy that kind of gameplay? Why put yourself through so much hassle here? The truth is, GGG has never been able to balance the conflict between grinding maps and player actions. Any one-size-fits-all approach will just make the game die faster; that 0.2 update was a bloody lesson.

Are these threads like click bait or something? There are thousands of players that do not follow build guides or streamers.
This F%$$#% game is hard to a point and broken in others. There is content in this game that just beats the snot out of most players and the grind is no joke (If you don't follow the meta builds and just play the game). Not all players know POE1 or play 12 hours a day. The money, growth and development of this game depends on the average gamer picking up the game, playing it, liking it, continue to play it, like it more and start buying trinkets and telling lots of friends about it. You do not want what we saw in .2, that will be the end of poe2. |

You know who's generally the loudest?
The minority. While I respect your opinion and how you want to play the game, you are most definitely not the majority. |

What could be better than one button? Just one finger and one gyrus in the brain, because it's so much fun!
